About Me

I often post pictures of the stuff I'm swapping. So if you go to my flickr account you may see it.

I live in the San Francisco bay area in California, and had a lovely kitty who just died June 16, 2011. :( But gave a senior kitty a new home recently, and he is also a lovely kitty.

I like to make stuff, recently I've been focusing on printed things... like cyanotypes, letterpress, and wood engraving. I'm also in the Bay Area Book Artists http://www.bayareabookartists.org/ I was trained in Letterpress and Bookbinding at Mills College.

And I have a small printing press built in 1893, a larger c&p platen press built in 1915, an etching press, and a kingsley hot foil stamp machine. So I like to print!

Likes:

I like lots of things paper is always a favorite by which I mean art paper and book or printing paper, I like the colors: purple, black, red, blue, silver, copper, green

I also like shiny things, small detailed things, birds, owls, octopi, bats. I really like well designed things, and graphic design, fashion, photography...

Cool vintage postcards are always fun! And I like getting neat stamps!

skeleton keys and old pocket watch cases..and I'm willing to purchase at a reasonable fee if you have any. I also like realistic or vintage butterflies, paper ephemera (victorian in particular) I also like birds, bats, insects, octopi, squirrels.

Dislikes:

I'm not into pastels, beige, clowns, glitter, pics of children, scrapbooking, cheap mass produced stuff in general, religious stuff, smelly things (as I have a lot of allergies)... I don't tend to prefer gold especially on jewelry.

Please nothing scented!

I have lots of allergies to what seems like everything, so recipes aren't generally a good bet for me.

Comment: What a great ATC. Loved all the elements, espcially the photo corners, I knew thought to used them on an ATC, will now! Did you also make the NOEL card? Is the ornament from that card a rubber stamp?

Comment: WOW. This book was so gorgeous, intricate, and useful that I almost cried! Your talent is amazing, and I loved the little touches like marking my location on the page where I am on the map! Just got a chance to check out your profile. i am so jealous of where you live. i have lived on and off in the Bay area over the past 12 years or so. Last time i was there, we lived in South SF. That was in 2003 and i haven't been able to get back since. i miss it all the time. San Francisco is my favorite city...
