This swap is for those interested in swapping crochets squares to make a Afghan. I would like to do 10 rounds for small blankets and 15 to 20 for larger blankets.

Crocheting and Knitting welcome.

This is a Regional Swap for the USA.

For this swap you will be assigned three partners. For each partner you will need to crochet/knit 2 6x6 squares. So you will be making 6 squares total. Make sure to find out which colors your partner is looking for.

Everyone is welcome, as long as they have a rating above 4.8 and no no-sends within the last three months. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners.

Please be sure to rate your partner when you recieve the product.

Oh I think I'll love it. But I'd like to watch for a bit

This sounds like a cool idea, kudos

I'm going to watch this swap. I have lots of projects going on right now, but I really would like to participate.

I'm going to watch this one too.... but, I LOVE this idea!!! if I don't have too many things going on, I'll definitely join!!!!

do we have to use a certain kind of yarn???

KimberCow27 07/31/2009 #

I've just gotten back into knitting (I'm a crochet guru! =P) and it makes me wonder if knitting or crocheting is faster? I know it depends on skill level, but for 6 6" squares (in college?!), I'd like to be efficient!

I've been looking for a [something] of many rounds to join! Can't wait to get started!!!

7X7 is a much more common size, but i think it might be interesting to try for a 6X6. it might be a good idea if everyone posted what colors they have in scrap, as well as what color they want, then you can match people so that we dont have to go buy brand new yarn for everything.

This will be a blast. I love pink, purples, muted shades though, no neons. Brown, taupe, off white any neutral or muted shade i love. I can't wait to see what colors my partners will like!!

LadyStephanie 08/27/2009 #

Navy blue, deep red, maroon squares for me, please. Acrylic is fine. I hope to get some interesting squares, but granny squares are fine. Hearts for using blue and red on each square!

LadyStephanie 08/28/2009 #

Uh-oh. Sorry if I offended anyone with my request. I just read somewhere else that experienced swappers don't like to be told what to do to get hearts. What can I say? I'm a newbie. 100 LASHES WITH A WET NOODLE!

I'm so all about greens!

tevagirl 08/28/2009 #

I love fun bright verigated yarns, or solids in bright colors.

Libertunity 08/30/2009 #

I'm working on an all green in different shades and patterns.

Fritosmom 08/31/2009 #

I love to get lots of green. Thank you:-)

Alaindrea 09/ 2/2009 #

I want black (on the outside) and a deep/bright (not pastel) color on my squares, please?

NO WOOL (of any kind)! -allergy

auntjudy 09/ 3/2009 #

i like all colors. so anything you send i will love

Mommy2Blaze 09/ 5/2009 #

Oh yes, I am allergic to wool also. Highly and it blows my asthma up for some reason. I do well with acrylic.

Boupie 09/ 7/2009 #

Any yarn is fine with me but medium worseted weight is best. I love blue (like robin's egg or cornflower), chocolate brown, and deep, shiny emerald green. They were all my wedding colors (with off-white or cream) and I would love to make an afghan in these colors for our two year anniversary! Thanks!

Boupie 09/ 7/2009 #

Oh, but I love all colors so if you have already made me something that will be wonderful too!

Mommy2Blaze 10/30/2009 #
