As of today, January 25, 2012, I am completely done with Swap-bot. Many thanks to those of you that have swapped with me. I will treasure the positive experiences. And for those unreasonable b*tches, (you know who you are), what goes around, comes around.

As soon as the last few Christmas Cards from the card swaps trickle in and are rated, I'll be happily fading back to obscurity for a long while. I've decided that SB is not for me so I won't be swapping much, if at all, but since I'm addicted to Christmas Cards, I'll be back again some day... just like Frosty the Snowman.

And.....

I can't express how important it is to write the name of the swap on the items you send. Please take the time to do this one simple thing to make rating a little easier. I've gotten several holiday cards through swaps and people have signed them without the swap name. It just takes an extra minute and it's so very appreciated! Thanks!

I'm 51, married to a great guy, a mom and a grandmother of an adorable toddler. Another grandchild is on the way. She is due in January 2012.

Most people would tell you that I'm generally a nice person. However, I will not be bullied by anyone. I will not engage in any drama. I'm too old for childish games. All I want from this site is to allow my creative side to shine and enjoy myself. I have no hidden agendas.

I live in a busy town in Northern Virginia, very close to Washington, DC. I've lived in this area for most of my life. I love this being close to DC for all it offers, like the Smithsonian Museums, Monuments, and other historical things.

I have a 5 year old Yorkie named Ginger. She's an amazing companion. I also have a 3 year old Pacific Parrotlet named Pekoe. He's a beautiful light blue color.

I'm really easy to please and like most things. I love handmade things because they come from the heart.

• I love tea and should belong to Tea-a-holics Anonymous. My favorites are Mint Roobios Iced Tea from the Rishi Company. I also love teas from Adagio Teas.

• I love Hazelnut anything and everything..especially coffee and tea!

• I am a chocoholic. I've never met a chocolate I didn't like!

• I love birds and bird houses, flowers, tea cups and teapots!

• Notecards, writing paper, cool pens are always tops on my favorites list!

• I love fairies and gnomes.

• I am crazy for cupcakes!

• Recipes. I'm starting a collection of recipes for my daughter. All recipes are welcome, I'd love to have low-carb or sugar free recipes the most. I prefer 4x6 cards, if possible.

• Anything from Paper Source! I love this store and am so happy to have one close to my house! (www.paper-source.com) Oh....the temptation!!

• I love Polka Dots!

• Flowers are LOVE! Violets, lilies, tulips and daisies are my favorites.

• I enjoy embroidering with my sewing machine, but in all actuality, I don't sew very well at all.

• Handy Manny is my guilty pleasure. I totally love this show! I just love it because it gives kids a positive way of solving problems.

I am not doing much crafting these days, but I am crocheting like a fiend. Most of my blankets are given away as gifts or are donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I enjoy rubber stamping and scrap booking, too, but admittedly, I'm not very good at either.

Another 'craft' that I enjoy is pen-palling. I love writing letters and getting to know new friends via snail mail!
