I'm currently owned by Ginger, a Yorkie puppy. I'm crazy about her! She's an amazing companion.

My daughter is expecting her first child and my first grandchild. We found out that IT'S A BOY! He is due February '09. YAY!

African Violets are one of my obessions and I've been growing them for years. I love them for the variety of colors. I especially enjoy the odd color combinations of purple flowers with green ruffles or the rarer yellow violets. I also make ceramic pots for the violets, too. There's new photos of my violets in bloom on my Flickr page. Feel free to check them out! I'm really proud of my violets. They are a lot of work and take a great deal of patience.

Things I like:

Bright colors, Pastel colors, Autumn Colors, Winter things like snowflakes and snowpeople, Dogs, (especially Yorkies), Birds, (and birdhouses), Plants, flowers (Growing things in general), Chocolate, Tea, Crocheted ornaments, Dotee Dolls, Frogs, Fairies, Pink Poodles, Hello Kitty, Scents like Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Lavender and Gardenia, Garden flags and yard decorations, Mary Englebreit, Suzy's Zoo, Unique and handmade writing papers, Pretty much anything handmade, Rubber stamps and stickers, Pen-Pals (I love writing letters) Paper (textured, pressed, handmade paper etc),

I can find inspiration to be creative in most things. I like doing things and making things for other people. I'm fairly introverted and keep to myself. I'm very close to my family. My husband is my best friend.

I no longer keep daily blog at Live Journal. The blog was just about mundane things. I still have a blog but it's moved and is now private. I update daily and post a good deal of photos. I have a few readers and I"m open to more. Please PM me if you'd like to be added as a reader.

Things I don't like:

Screaming and undisciplined children, Mean spirited people, Bullies or ultra controlling people, Exclusiveness. Cliques, Negativity, Gold jewelry, Bugs, Frozen Peas. (yuk, yuk and double yuk)

Anything Celtic, Lorrena McKennit, Battlefield Band, John Denver (don't laugh) Lionel Ritchie, Chicago, Some (but not all) Country Music.

Leo Kottke is my favorite right now.

High School Musical 1&2, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Ever After, First Knight

I'm really not a big movie person.

ABC Soaps, MacGyver, Stargate SG1, Kim Possible, Phineas & Ferb, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, BBC's Robin Hood and Torchwood.

I dabble in many crafts. My current favorite is making Dotee Dolls. I also like to crochet. I'm fairly good at ceramics and have my own kiln. I'm growing more confidant with my sewing abilities, too. Due to a lovely gift from my wonderful husband, I'm now learning how to do machine embroidery. I can't wait to learn more! Thanks, Tom!
