Description:

All this talk on the forums about newbies and what/where/how they should be swapping got me thinking...let's create a newbie swap!

Particulars:

  1. You will have two partners.

  2. Send to your partner something that will only require one postage stamp. Ideas: a couple of ATC's, rubber stamp images, gift tags, a letter, a list, bookmarks, etc. Really, the possibilities are endless.

  3. Be sure to include your contact info with your swap.

  4. U.S. only (sorry!)

  5. I'm making this a quick turn around swap because sometimes long deadlines get boring.

Again, one postage stamp and U.S. only

Fine print: you don't have to be a newbie to participate!

Great idea! I, too, get bored with long turnarounds!

Lithmire 06/14/2007 #

I'm not a newbie anymore, but I love these quick swaps. :)

PumpkinSeedMama 06/14/2007 #

Can we go over (one) postal stamp if we wish??

gabsters 06/14/2007 #

I think this is a really fun idea :)

rengawk 06/15/2007 #

I have enough swaps for that time frame, but this is an excellent idea, and I'll look forward to the next one. =)

collectedmess 06/17/2007 #

I'll probably do another in a week or so!

And to answer Pumpkin Seed Mama's question...I'd prefer you kept it to one stamp to keep it even all around!

elusivecallie 06/18/2007 #

I'm assuming that we can still use more than one stamp as long as it comes out to the 41 cents that one stamp costs? I'm still using up old 39 cent stamps, so i'll have to use two, one for 39, and one for 2...

That still counts as one, right?

quick note to Mel. Was at work yesterday when I mailed yours. Didn't have one stamp and had to use two of what I had which were 32cent stamps-lol anyway it's veering your way.

Ellie and Lindalee your envelopes were dropped of at the post office this afternoon. Enjoy!

gabsters 06/21/2007 #

Whoops, I should add: my dad dropped my letters off at the post office because I couldn't get out of the house due to heavy meds (recovering from knee surgery). We didn't have new postage stamps for the postage hike, so I don't know if they were one stamp or not - I made them to be that way so I hope they went out that way!

user8998 06/22/2007 #

KathyH and Bluecrayons*LipsOffire - yours went out early this afternoon. The guy at the post office insisted on hand cancelling them since they he felt bulges in them, so I had to add .17 each for him to hand cancel them. I thought they were fine and I've mailed worse with one stamp, haha. Oh well, I tried!

enakitty 06/23/2007 #
