Description:

This was a really great idea that kerimoo started, but unfortunately she had to cancel the swap. I thought it was such a great idea and I was so looking forward to it that I figured this was the perfect chance to try my hand at hosting a swap!

You will create a package for your partner's little furry (or scaley) friends! The price limit will be $10 and you should send at least 3 items. Treats, chew toys, handmade leashes, personalized feeding bowls, treat recipes, catnip, etc would be great things to add, but the sky is the limit!

Newbies are welcomed with well filled out profiles, but please note there is only about a week turn around time so make sure you can make the commitment to send on time if you join. No 1s or 3s in the last 3 months. Any type of pet is welcomed to be a part of the swap.

When you sign up for the swap, please add a comment below telling us about your pet(s) or make sure there is a spot in your profile about your little ones.

i'm in canada and i love this idea, was wondering if you could possibly do usa/canada?

Yay, I had been looking forward to this swap and was sad to see it was cancelled.

There's information on my profile about my babies.

I'm glad to see this back! I also have a spot on my profile about my puppykids.

i have 2 dogs, a 3 yr old doxie mix boy - B-Bop, and a 1 year old (she'll be one Dec 6) mini doxie girl Rocksy. Please no cheapy treat foods. The higher quality trets are ok but the cheapy ones (with all the preservatives and coloring) give them the poops.

SUPER cute idea! I have a six pound, six year-old pure white Maltese. She is a size medium for clothing, which is 14-16" girth (around her chest) and 12" long. She loves pink (I've tied other colors on her, but she looks too manly). For collars, she's a size small which is 9"-10." She's not picky with food, but the freeze-dried chicken breasts/strips make her puke and poop like crazy (NOT good!) but anything else she loves.

I hope this helps for others, its from my favorite shop!

My puppy

We had to trim her cuz she fell into a mud puddle- so sad! Usually she has a longer coat!

Okay, I'm in! I have two slinky Siamese cats; they're litter-mates whose first months were spent in a sushi bar (!!) and are very classically Siamese in both how they look and how they sound. They love crinkly stuff (like plastic bags, unfortunately, which they chew) and shiny toys, feathers, etc. They like catnip and haven't had any digestive issues with any treats...and they look ridiculous in sweaters.

Hello! We have several animals but I think for this I would like our newest baby to get something! Dragen is a Shitzu puppy! She will be 6 weeks old on 12/18 and is very tiny!

We also have two German Shepards (both two years old one boy one girl),two small kittens,a ferret and a Paraket (sp? on the last two)!

You have a variety of things to pick from! LOL Although the two bigger dogs can't wear clothes because I won't fight with them on it! Hence why we got the puppy!! She already has 10 outfits when she is big enough to wear them!

I think the last one must have been for all of North America or international because I was in it...

HOW DO I GET OFF PARTIAL SUSPENSION?

handsewnheart 12/ 2/2009 #

I'm sorry guys! I think I am going to make this one USA only. I am really sorry if that excludes anyone that was in the last swap (when I set this up, I really wasn't sure what region the last one was). There is just a pretty quick turn around and I want to make sure everyone can get their packages before Christmas. If there are a lot of people really interested in Canada, maybe we can make a Canada only swap?

sparklingsights 12/ 3/2009 #

I've created a swap for everyone else outside of the USA, in case anyone is interested! Christmas For Our Pets: International. :)

Bailey She looks best in pinks, reds and neutrals and is a size large (but working towards a medium!). She likes to carry around blankets and pillowcases. She loves to play with soda bottles, stuffed animals and basically anything she can carry! As for treats, she mainly likes chicken or vanilla flavored food (she also likes grass, but I don't think anything comes in that flavor) and sometimes likes cranberry flavor. She also likes cheese, but we'd be grateful if you didn't send her any since it gives her gas!

handsewnheart 12/ 4/2009 #

Oh my goodness! Bailey is one cute dog @vblarney Is she a pug mix?

Azhuresjewels 12/ 7/2009 #

I am in ^_^ my profile has a pet section

Lilly is a 4 year old Lab..around 55 pounds and looks good in hot pink and neongreen(leashes, collars, etc). She absolutely loves balls and toys of any kind(have to be for bigger breeds and somewhat indestructible) and any kind of treats are good for her.

sauvageblue 12/ 8/2009 #

I have two babies a male Shitzu named Johan and a female Cocker Spaniel named Marley they are both so sweet.... They love toys and we are in dire need of new leash's... Fun noisy and squeekie toys they love, stuffed toys too. No treats since Johan has a sensitive stomach. I am so excited this sounds like fun....

Vblarney 12/ 9/2009 #

@handsewnheart : Bailey is a pug/beagle mix. And she knows she's cute! ;)

neauxla 12/10/2009 #

love this idea! i have three medium to large dogs. (all are about 50 lbs and about 3 ft tall)they love anything that squeaks(no soft toys please!-theyll shred it in a second), balls, any kind of puzzle toy (something you hide the treat in and they have to find it), treats (as long as theyre not dyed with food coloring), rope toys, they are all boys, so for clothes, leashes, and the like-could they please have boy colors and size L. thanks! i cant wait!

Vblarney 12/11/2009 #

I have to drop this swap due to some sudden expenses with Bailey (found out she has allergies and will always have ear problems...between the vet and the year supply of ear medicine we had to shell out over $400)

neauxla 12/13/2009 #

Forgot! they would also love any sort of rawhides, lamb bone, anything yummy to chew on

LinaRoundtheBlock 12/13/2009 #

I have a new puppy, she is 6 1/2 lbs and about 14 inches long. She likes small toys and LOVES treats. She's got a winter coat and can probably use anything you can think of. I'm excited!
