Number of swap partners:3
Description:

This is an international swap.

With all the letter writing we do here on Swap-Bot I'm sure our purchases of blank notecards has increased so let's spread the wealth. Send 3 different, blank, notecards to 3 partners. The cards should have no message on outside or inside. No religious or political images, please.

Cards may be store bought or handmade, but must include matching envelope. Please consider the condition of the cards you send... make sure they are not tired, wilted or unloved.

Three (3) cards to three (3) partners for a total of nine (9) cards leaving your home and nine (9) different ones coming back. Fairly quick turnaround between swap close and sending dates. Please make sure you let your partners know your real name, username and the name of the swap. It would be wonderful to rate your partners, or otherwise acknowledge receipt, when you receive your packet of notecards as it helps with shipping anxiety.

Special Note: On 24 July 2007 I will close this swap to people with less than 2 completed swaps (not counting URL or other email swaps), with associated ratings. After that date only people with 2 or more completed swaps will be allowed to join.

some notecards have just blank, white colored envelopes, is that ok? :D

PostMuse 07/16/2007 #

Yes, plain white envelopes are fine as long as they are the correct size for the card :-)

jessmarie 07/17/2007 #

They must have no writing on the outside? I have some really cute note cards that are blank inside but on the outside there are cute pictures with "hello" or some other cute generic phrase. Is that allowed?

PostMuse 07/17/2007 #

I prefer to have no writing at all on the cards because the swap is international. Allowing a generic "hello" message on the front opens the door to all sorts of requests for other generic messages and I just don't think those cards are as appreciated by those for whom the language is not native.

jessmarie 07/17/2007 #

Ok, you have a good point. I have plenty of others to send without any writing. Thanks!

ladyb 07/25/2007 #

I have some pretty ones (by Hallmark) but are just one piece (meaning they don't open up) they are not postcards they are actual note cards - would those qualify or do they have to be like a regular greeting crd type

PostMuse 07/26/2007 #

I would be happy to receive one of those type cards in my envelope, ladyb, but I wouldn't want to have all three cards be that sort. Variety would be better.

I signed up previously and accidentally dropped myself from this swap. Can I please rejoin?

PostMuse 07/28/2007 #

Sure stephlys! I see you on the list well before the new swapper cut-off date. And besides, anyone who is a fan of Still Life with Woodpecker must be a treasure.

Oh, and I liked The Historian very much, too. And A Slight Trick of the Mind though it made me so sad.

KerrWriter 07/28/2007 #

If you liked Slight Trick of the Mind, you might like Lori King's Mary Russell & Sherlock Holmes books. I like them more than the Conan Doyle originals. I read Still Life in high school (long long ago) and have been a Tom Robbin's fanatic ever since.

I'm looking forward to this swap. I send cards primarily to the same two girlfriends but can't resist buying box sets, which means I end up with too many of the same cards to send to the same people.

Thanks for letting us newbies in!

Ok, be patient with me as I'm a n00b. I sent my packages totally on time but didn't indicate which swap it was for. I did put my username in the return address if that is at all helpful. So, Delilah02, Pretty Little Failure and FromthePines, I hope it's clear that the packages came from me and I hope I did it correctly. If for some reason I screwed it up, please PM me and I'll do my best to correct.

Delilah02 did you receive your notecards from me? I PMed but haven't heard back. Not trying to be a pest, just hoping they arrived safely.

Delilah02 replied. Package arrived safely. Please wish her kitty cat a speedy recovery though!
