Description:

this swap will be for those of us that are new to the craft...

Just type in paper row houses on to the flickr site and you will get the idea...I have been all over yahoo and didnt have good luck with finding alot of info....

the basics your row house should be around 7 inches tall and 3 inches wide.. Make it real sturdy by using food boxes for the base.

Seners Choice! Please make sure that your row house is decorated front AND back. And I noticed people just write thier info small across the bottom edge......

1 row house for 1 partner

Be CREATIVE have windows, doors. Unless you like to live in a house with no windows or doors.

rating rate a 5 if you got it! rate a heart if it blew your socks off..In that case, you need to run outside and get your socks back!

Oh Im watching just now, I think I want to join but I don't want to make a mess of them so I'll practise first!

Soo,am I getting this right? when decorated it doesn't actually be either the inside or outside of a house in the traditional sense but instead you can collage the house shape using any kind of theme? I think that's what I understood from the pictures.

scrapkween 01/28/2010 #

ooh Ive ben wanting to do one of these for awhile! watching!

littleZ 01/30/2010 #

Hi! I plan to possibly join this swap. I wonder... if it would be reasonable... or not! ^^

blynken 02/ 2/2010 #

hello! how many row houses are we supposed to swap? :)

isabellasnow 02/ 2/2010 #

Yes...that's my question as well....is it one row-house? A row of houses? Which?

Tjrenee 02/ 4/2010 #

Looks like it would be just 1 row house for 1 partner.

Candyn29 02/ 4/2010 #

1 house for 1 partner, when you have several collected from swaps, you will have a row.

I googled ROW HOUSE on google and got different examples of real houses in rows. Think of how tall but narrow the houses are in San Franscico. (on tv anyway)

Also In New York The streets are lined very neatly with tall straight houses (as opposed to my short fat and crooked house!)

Candyn29 02/ 4/2010 #

No, You can free hand draw your house and cut it out.

Make sure to use the sturdy cereal box for the middle.

please check flickr for beautiful row house crafts

this is only to help inspire you.

MichelleZ 02/ 6/2010 #

This sounds like a lot of fun. Do most people decorate both sides, or just the front?

MichelleZ 02/ 6/2010 #

Ignore that last question....it's answered above. Sorry!

Candyn29 02/ 6/2010 #

I didnt use a template, just drew my own.

Tjrenee 02/ 7/2010 #

I didn't use a template either. This was so much fun to make now I want to make another, lol! Is 7x3 the usual size of these for swaps?
