Description:

A good drink and conversation is not always easy to come by. For myself, it has become very hard because I don't have many friends near where I live and I don't always get a chance to go try to socialize. Having this in mind, I thought up this swap. While not exactly a run to the local bar to meet new people, it is a great substitute. Especially when you are snowed in to your ears!

For this swap you will send your partner 2 packets of any type of beverage (examples: instant cappucino, tea bags, crystal light), a letter of sorts, and a small gift. The letter can be anything you want to send, just be sure to make it of good measure and substance, something you would like your partner to send you. The small gift can be anything you can fit in a regular mailing envelope. Check your partner's profile for ideas or ask if they prefer anything. If you can, try to keep it around 44 cents to send. I understand that a 'bumpy' envelope may cost a tad more and that is okay. This is a U.S. only swap.

Newbies are welcome but I do require a full, filled-out profile. No recent 1's please. If I do find that you are suspect to flake, I will ban you. I don't want to do that to anyone but I will if I have to.

If there are any questions about this swap please be sure to ask, I want this swap to go as pleasantly as possible. This is my first time hosting and I want to be a good host! Also, please let me know if you get flaked on. If that does happen I will angel you or I will find someone to angel you.

I like this idea but I think that with drink packets inside, the envelope may well end up costing more then a 44 cent stamp, this is not a hindrance to me, but I know that a "bumpy" package constitutes an extra 20 cents...

i just edited it to reflect said concerns. thanks for the suggestion!

OMG, kittie, that picture of the cockatiel with the drink is SOOOO CUTE....I would love if my partner could package him up and send him in an envie as my "little gift"..hahaha..he is just so adorable!

Could the beverage be like those single packs that you can get? Just wondering...Thinking about what I could get for that part of it.

Bumpy envelopes Do not go well through my post office. It never fails. if the envelope has something other than just paper inside, I get it in shreds in a plastic baggie. A small bubble mailer is cheap too. Well, whoever gets me, please no bumpy envies or I will get a baggie of shredded garbage in the mail. My post office sucks. :(

@ LighthousePrincess82, the single packs are fine.

A letter envie with something vey bumpy inside is considered a rigid letter so it will cost more than .44 cents and it will not go through the regular sorter machines for letters. If you tape up the entire envie it should hold up well for those who can't afford a small bubble mailer or don't have any. I know it usually cost about .64 cents to send two or tree tea bags in a flat letter envie but with thicker drink packets it should cost a little more under the rigid cost.

This sounds like fun.
