So, something has come to my attention, and I guess I should mention it first thing on my profile, so that all of you, my dear swap partners, will be able to see. ;) This thing is: I'm not only Brazilian as I said right below, but I am also IN BRAZIL. Which means I will be sending my items from Brazil, and receiving them here. Which means... international mailing, for the ones of you who aren't in Brazil (actually, I don't think I've ever had a Brazilian swap partner). And international mailing means... that it might take a while for what I send to get to you, and for what you send to get to me. And when I say 'a while', I mean definitely more than two weeks. Heck, it sometimes takes more than two weeks for me to receive a letter from one of my friends who lives a few states away! ;) It is normally AT LEAST a month, but from experience, it usually takes around a month and a half to North America and Europe (I don't have enough data to know about other parts of the world). And that goes for both sending and receiving, unfortunately... So please know that, if I haven't rated you and it's been two weeks since the deadline... chances are I haven't received your item yet, since I rate almost as soon as I get them. But since I know it can take a while, I will not contact you and ask you to send a new item when chances are I'll still get the first one. I always wait at least a full month before making contact telling that I haven't received anything. I will not rate '1' before making contact either. Also, if it's been two weeks and you still haven't received anything from me, chances are you will still receive it in other 2-4 weeks. I know that you are all super anxious to get your items, I understand that because I get so anxious too, and I know that it sucks having to wait a bit more... but I'd really like to count with your understanding in this one, since there's not much I can do about the distance and the mailing services, and I'd still really like to take part on swaps... Still, if it's been 5-6 weeks and you still haven't received anything, PLEASE let me know, and I will send you another item ASAP! I do not intend to flake on anyone, I know just how disappointing that can be. Deal? :)
I'm a 23 year old Brazilian who is about to graduate Law school. I love reading, traveling, getting to know other cultures and learning new languages. I'm also a singer on my spare time, albeit not professionally, and I love love love music.
My favorite colors are pink, purple and blue. I'm a practicing Catholic, but that doesn't mean I necessarily agree with all of my Church's opinions on non-faith-related matters... which is blatantly obvious if you consider the fact that I am gay. lol I love and respect any kind of spirituality, though, and have friends of many religions/denominations, or without any.
I cannot draw for the life of me, and will not enter swaps that require that kind of ability, but I admire immensely anyone who can. I love writing, though, and am most interested in swaps that require writing, such as letters, poems, short prose, personal thoughts and feelings, etc. I also love receiving postcards, and will be joining lots of PC swaps. :)
Snow Patrol, The Fray, the Glee ones, Celtic Woman, Enya, Westlife, Fireflight, Jars of Clay, Nickelback, Kelly Clarkson, Missy Higgins, lots of Brazilian stuff, and pretty much anything that sounds good. As I said, I am a huge music lover.
10 things I hate about you, Lord of the Rings, Imagine me and You, MonaLisa smile, Minority Report, The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, Mamma Mia, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, Nina's Heavenly Delights...
House, Glee, LOST, ER, Law&Order: SVU, Legend of the Seeker, Xena: Warrior Princess, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Two and a Half Men
Writing, photography, origami and most paper crafts, beading, scrapbooking, card-making, painting (although I generally suck at this last one :P).
I like all kinds of postcards, really, but there are a few things that make me swoon:
I have three piercings in each ear, so I obviously love having lots of nice earrings to wear. I love both chandelier/dangle style, to use on my lower piercing, and tiny ones/studs to use on my two upper ones. I love earrings with tiny pearls or any kind of tiny gems. I do NOT, however, like earrings with acrylic color, or with colorful plastic/glass. I am also not a fan of child-like earrings, and prefer mine to be more sober-looking. I sometimes have allergic reactions to a few earrings randomly, so I'd prefer if mine could be anti-allergic as well. Here they are easy enough to find, and not any expensive... And I guess that's it. :)

Let's see, I mailed your scripture cards on March 3rd so it's been a month & 9 days--just wondering if it usually takes this long for you to receive your mail? Hope you get them ♥
Hey there, Just letting you know that I'm one of your partners who sent Decorated Christian Scriptures I know it takes a while for mail to get to you & I'm not worried about ratings. I did mail out on March 3rd~~just so you know if it hasn't arrived it's on it's way! Marilyn
I do apologize, I was sent something from Swap-Bot telling me that I was overdue in placing comments, I am new to this so if I should have done something different again I apologize. I didn't realize we were permitted to contact each other outside of the actual swap or I might have done that. I just thought putting that I hadn't received it was what I was being asked to do. ;-{

Hey there! I saw that you're my partner for the international poem/prose swap and I wanted to introduce myself. :) We seem to have quite a bit in common - I'm also a 23 year old female, I'm spiritual, and I love learning about other cultures and religions. I'm really happy that you're my partner, I look forward to getting a letter from Brazil! :D Happy new year! xoxo
