Hello to all my friends, new and not met yet! I'm a teacher by profession, and usually have great weeks - but like any job, there ARE days! :-)

If you are my swap partner receiving FROM me, and it has not arrived after a goodly amount of time, DO message me please. I always send ~ what's the reason for being here if that is not your intention? I will, as builder Mike Holmes says - "Make It Right!" I will let you know, too, if something hasn't arrived.

• I LOVE Postcards ! ESPECIALLY JETOY postcards!! Animals, nature, cities far from me

• Please don't send overly cute/kiddie/cartoon postcards

• I love to travel (for real) and also do so vicariously through postcards. Unless the swap host indicates to send naked and stamped I do prefer them IN AN ENVIE AND BLANK . If it comes naked and written on, I love fancy-schmancy stamps! :-)

• Calligraphy. Therefore pens, ink and paper! I tell friends I was a monk in my other life!

• airmail stickers from your country!

• Starbucks lattes !

• My two darling grandbaby boys! Koen is 4 and Knox is 7weeks old! GRANDIES are fabulous!

• I love birds, nature, wild cats and domesticated kitties!

• I am drawn to anything small -- tiny notes pads, tiny pens, tiny envelopes -- did I say TINY? paper, pens...... (I was born with one in my hand!), fountain pens, coloured inks--->

• SPRING is my very favorite time of year and preferred colours are: blue, green, purple, aubergine, pink

RIBBONS - I am not a seamstress but there are so many things you can do with lovely ribbons! I hope my 8th grade sewing teacher reads this 'cause she gave me a passing grade to get me out of her class! LOL!

.....I rate on the very day I get your swap in my hot little hands, from the postie to me! (Well usually my husband gets the mail, but I think you understand.......)

If I have not rated means your swap hasn't reached my shores.

From my experience USA post to me is sluggish from certain areas. But it generally arrives within 5-10 days AUSTRALIA can take 2 weeks, and the UK can be here in 5-7 days. (So which postal service is working harder??? :-)

As for things going to YOU from ME: do know that Canada Post, while having one of the most expensive services doesn't work on SATURDAYS and holidays - EVER! Their Union sees to that :-) So I may have the swap to you hand-cancelled at a sub-post office (which is not unionized) on Saturday (and I often do) the post person doesn't take it until the following Monday.

I just want to remind all of you wonderful folks who swap with me that I take my swaps to heart and love what you send, as much as I like sending to you. So when you send a swap, do say a few words about yourself - it's about friendship and swapmanship (if that's a word!) So let's not snarl at one another. Treat one another with kindness -- I have found it goes a long way :-) XXX OOO

If you've managed to read this far (what a soldier you are!) here's my parting comment: I don't expect everyone to gush over swaps I send. I was taught as a kid though, that you say "thank-you" when you receive something. It amazes me that you/I can bust our britches over a swap for a partner and then all you get is a rating ~ how much more energy does it take to say "Thanks" ....... It's what separates us from non-humans ;-)
