I enjoy travelling, penpalling, photography, rubber stamping and card making, walking with my dog, and spending time with my husband.

I love anything to do with gardening. It is therapy. I LOVE coneflowers, roses, and herbs (thyme, lavender, and sage).

My favorite time is Halloween. I think that birthdays are very important.

I get larger packages weighted at post office. Regular mail is dropped in a box near my home. The mail lady does not always pickup on Friday or Monday so I try to drop the mail at an outlet when time permits. Therefore, the stamp on the envelope does not always reflects when the mail left my hands. With the postal service, I have learned that it is better to be patient!

I often send my swaps on the deadline date. I am naturally slow.

I will give you a heart for work well done and for a complete swap. Little extras are welcome, but sometimes less is better.

I like rub-ons, notecards, rikrak, rhinestones, lace, pens, postcards, and cute writing paper (lined).

I love nicely stamped images on white/beige cardstock.

I collect Stamps and Postcards: showing nature scene, animals, waterfalls, lighthouses, trees, people, birds, cartoons. I love giraffes, owls, the sea, shells, turtles, whales, sea horses, fishing boats, butterflies, and Bernese Mountain Dogs.

I am a fan of Ozzy Osborne, Star Trek: Voyager, and Pipi Longstocking (original stuff- not animated).

CAMRYN HUNTER is a tiny little girl who was diagnosed with Acute Myelod Leukemia in 2011. I know about her precious battle because her grandparents are my neighbours and friends.

The cancer is a rare form and the treatments have taken quite a toll on the life of this 5 years old child and her family. She received a bone marrow transplant in early 2012, but it went dormant! She had another transplant in December 2012.

UPDATE as much as we had all hoped Camryn’s battles were behind her, seems it is not so….The recent aspirate results are back and once again her cells have reappeared….she is being admitted to hospital again tonight and they will once again give her father's cells but this time without the immune suppressant drugs in the hopes they will attack these cells that have reappeared. In the meantime they will be looking for an alternate donor in the event that a full bone marrow transplant is needed. Her little brother Calvin will once again be coming to stay at Gramma and Poppy’s during the week.

The project I created for CAMRYN is simple. You can participate by sending a postcard to her. This has to be suitable for a small child. Girly or cute animals would do. You can upcycle a card if you wish (by using the front face only).

At the back of your card write a simple child prayer, a song, a rhyme, a riddle, a child's drawing or a little message to make her smile. No sickness related comments. Let's keep it to the HOPE/ COURAGE theme. When the card will be received, they will be placed in a special box for Camryn. She will be able to keep this with her. Her grandmother is reading the cards to her and her brother.
