Sometimes I just blip off the radar. I'm around, though. :)
Scrapbooker, avid Sci Fi fan, Reader, Music listener, Adventurer, Foodie, Witch, Anglophile.
Scrapbooker - I love full page spreads. I tend toward 12x12 albums the most. I like stamping, but I'm not crazy over it. I especially love distressed and antique looks.
Avid Sci Fi fan - and fantasy too! Shows include Firefly, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Warehouse 13, The Flash, Arrow, Orphan Black, etc. The X-files will always be the very favorite. Great news about the mini-series!
Reader - I'll read anything, but mostly scifi. Turns out I don't much care for sword and sorcery fantasy. Love Harry Potter, of course. I guess that's wand and sorcery though...
Music Listener - I love a lot of styles of music. Queen is the greatest band to exist now and in the future. I also like Rush, Sponge, Kaiser Chiefs, 30 Seconds to Mars, etc. I really really like opera and classical music too.
Adventurer - I travel. Often. I go out of the country about every 5 years, otherwise I keep it local. I'm in the middle of a baseball adventure that will take me to every ballpark in MLB. 14 down so far. :)
Foodie - I'll try anything once. Except maybe bugs. I am a pretty good cook and love cake. I meant it. I love cake more than some people I know. I love my Crock Pot!
Witch - I practice wicca.
Anglophile - I love all things British. Seriously, even the food and especially the beer! Incidentally, there's been something of a ban on imported british chocolates here in new york. tragic, really. its just on cadbury products and anything that looks like something hersey makes. (because we make them shitty and rather than improve they'd rather sue and get the competition to leave the country).
I enjoy a wide range of crafts. I sew clothing, make jewelry, crochet, and scrapbooking. I especially like clock gears, keys, nuts, bolts, screws, and all things steampunk. I also work with leather.
I just discovered a love of postcards and notecards through this site! Such fun!
I sew clothing, so I don't really need any quilt squares. Quilting isn't really my thing.
I love my scrapbooking, but I'm not as into stamping. I find that I only use a stamp once or twice if that. I'm happy to swap the ones that do get (usually in grab bags from conventions).
Otherwise, I happy to try new things and see if I can work an unusual piece of something into my work!
Also, I don't care for disney so much. I like it, I just don't craft with it or visit the parks or care for its merchandise. Or kawaii or inchies or matchboxes. If you are wondering, just ask. :)
I'm a married, 38 year old woman living just outside New York City.
I work in construction. Effectively making me a lady bro's bro. Stranger Things is the best show on television right now. Every frame of it is a work of its own art.
I own a physics text book from the late 1890s. That means that it pre-dates Einstein's theory of relativity. Imagine learning physics without E=MC2...
This just in: I have gotten an 1860s chemistry text book. In it, the atom is just a theory; they haven't found Helium yet, and they considered titanium to be a useless element.
In an atempt to make this easier to reference, here's a simple list:
Sewing garments and accessories
The color green
Spring and Fall
Photography Handmade things
Home decor (pillows, wall art, etc)
Older people with great stories
Serial Killers and other True Crime
World cultures Polish Spoons (those ones at airports)
Hannibal (NBC) Tacos
ATCs, inchies, matchboxes, etc - Too tiny for me to manage.
Ephemera - I have plenty of my own. Not hoarding plenty, but more than I'd like.
Quilt Squares - I don't make blankets like that.
Books with notes in the margin - unless it pre-dates 1900.
Christian Items - I'm not Christian.
Kawaii Friendship Books - I don't get it.
Zentangles - I don't get those either.
Old/Used Stamps - Unless its pre 1900.
