I grew up in Alaska and live in the Northwest U.S. I love to travel and have spent time in Kenya, Southeast Asia, Europe and Mexico--I go to Eastern Europe pretty regularily to visit family too.

I like reading, walking, films, knitting, espresso, the oceans, puzzles, tidepooling, mountains, hiking, The Bird Machine, Frida Kahlo, gardening, Miro, Music, Old photgraphs, Loteria, Library things, a robin, Vintage 20's-70's things (toys, books, board games, tickets, advertisements, containers...), Pomegranate, polka dots, Chagall and my niece and nephews. I have one very small cat.

Things I'm Crazy About:

• Chocolate(not Nestle's or Hershey's) especially organic or fair trade(like green and blacks mmm). Also, the little chocolates baristas put on the side of the dish when you order espresso. And sweets. Love sour things, gummis, interesting confections from faraway places.
• Things that are regional, special to a place
• Bookmarks
• Barbapapa, moomin, krtek, robots
• Zines
• Organic soap
• Yarn (any colors/natural fibers)
• Magazines (McSweeneys, BUST, Gastronomica, Esopus)
• Stationery - Cotton, linen, hemp, recycled paper or paper that has been inventively reused, beautiful, funky, letterpress printed or homemade, homemade or interesting stickers.
• Candles--beeswax w/out scents or with essential oils--(none chemically scented--perfume allergies). Love lemon verbena, lavender, clove, fig, basil, pepper, citrus...
• Tea--Black or Herbal, my favorite is Lapsang Souchong! Hibiscus, lemon, mint(anything with flavor that isn't "flavored")
• useful things with an interesting design
• Anything green or organic
• Handmade things!!!

Things I'm Not Too Crazy About:

• Things with perfume (allergies--essential oils are OK)
• Nestle's and food products from other BIG BIG companies
• Victorian "style" or homey country style
• Disney or Hello Kitty
• Knitting with polyester
• Earrings-no pierced ears
• Black licorice
• The happy/sad theatre mask
• Artificial sweeteners

My family is diverse in ethnicity, gender, religion and nationality and I'm proud of that.

Also loved Persepolis, Maus, Stones from the River, Was, Cannery Row, Franny and Zooey. I love to read.
