I am definitely ready for 2020 to be over!! I love to stamp. I was introduced to Stampin Up in 1999 and have been making cards since then. I started doing ATC's in Feb of 2006, and I love doing and receiving them. I belong to a stamp club and love the ideas we share each month.
I am a retired elementary teacher. My husband and I have three daughters, three son-in-laws, and five grandsons, as well as three great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
With the wedding of a grandson the beginning of October, we now have a grand daughter!
My family is very important to me. My mom is still with us, and was 94 years old in September. She is fabulous, and still going strong. I thank God every day for her.
I love to read mystery and adventure novels, visit new places, and create with rubber stamps. I love the colors blue and green, and anything having to do with the fall of the year. I am open to fresh new ideas, and love seeing what others are doing. I really am enjoying all the great swaps I've gotten so far. Great ideas!
I faithfully mail by the deadline, if not before, so if you don't receive my goodies in a reasonable time please let me know as I've had some bad experiences with our mail service. I rate the same day as I receive, so if you aren't rated, I haven't received.
I love any kind of rock and roll, jazz, country western music. I think my favorite musican is Ronnie Dove, a fellow Marylander, who I've met in person several times. Having seen Brenda Lee several times I also have to include her. Guess that tells my age!
Anything with Clint Eastwood or Sam Ellicott in it. Heaven Is For Real, Mama Mia and Brave One. Wild Hogs was extremely funny! I also enjoy Nell with Jodi Foster; Gone With The Wind; Grease; West Side Story; Ghost; and Gravity. Gee, looks like I haven't seen anything new for quite a while!
Mysteries: Murder She Wrote, Diagnosis Murder. Also CSI, and Three and a Half Men. Dating myself, aren't I?! Updated, I like NCIS and NCIS LA, and NCIS New Orleans, as well as the History channel, thanks to my husband. .
Stamping, stamping, stamping. Also wood burning , weaving baskets, and cross-stitching. I enjoy altered art, and have done several books. I have held cardmaking classes at our Senior Center, and can't wait until we reopen again. I am now making monthly cards to the residents of an assisted living home.
My sweet husband gave me a 12 by 24 Amish shed and put counter tops and cabinets around the perimeter of it which is now my Studio.
I love working with all the new dies out there. There is so much you can do with them. I've discovered the envelope punch board, and besides making envelopes, I create boxes for gifts.
I grew up on a farm and raised sheep for my 4-H project. Sheep are great! My kitchen has strawberries all over it. I love blues, greens, and all pastel colors. Autumn is my favorite season, followed by Spring. Any kind of nature things appeal to me. I particularly love sunflowers, hummingbirds, butterflies and dragonflies. Before diabetes took over my life, I loved to bake and eat any sweets. Now fruits fill my appetite. With five grandsons, I am always looking for boy things to use with my scrapbooking. Now with 3 great grandsons and a great granddaughter, anything works!
I'm flexible! I enjoy receiving new and different things from others. Patterned papers, stickers to use with scrapbooking, tips and techniques, anything with hummingbirds or lighthouses. I like to read anything in paperback. Surprise me! I won't be disappointed.
I love to read! My favorite author is Nora Roberts. Perhaps it is because she is from Maryland, but also because her books are entertaining. She has a bed and breakfast in Western Maryland that I hope to visit some day. I also enjoy reading James Patterson, Patricia Cornwall, Nicholas Sparks, David Baldacci, John Grisham, Jan Karon, and Beverly Lewis, just to name a few!
I am pretty flexible, and will give anything or anyone a chance. I do not like nudity or rude people, though.
