Hi Becca! I'm one of your partners in the Let's Meet swap. I loved reading your profile! It was very entertaining and we have LOTS in common. Let's begin at the beginning shall we...This - "two-thirds Tinkerbell, One third Wednesday Adams" - Hilarious. I identify with this sentence on so many levels! I am also a WoW playing girl. I have my uber geek husband to thank for that one. What we lack in similarity of music taste, we definitely make up for in books! I have read and reread several of the books that you listed. One of my favorite shows at the moment is Bones. I am so conflicted on whether or not I want Booth and Bones to live happily ever after. I suppose if that happens the show will end, so I'm content with the current situation. :) I was checking out your flickr and your work is fantastic. I would love to do a private swap with you for some ATC's sometime. Maybe I could send you a Tim Holtz ink pad or two. Happy Swapping!

oh, becca, where should i start?! ok, how about: hi, i'm jo. one of your partners for the TD let's meet swap, and i would hug trees with you, any day. :D

i love your description of a "lyric fiend" -- i would have to agree that some artists lyrics are much like poetry -- especially Bon Iver and Tom Waits, two of my favorites (i noticed you also list them). i think i would also fall under a description of a lyric fiend haha

i see you have a BA in English Lit -- i have a BA in English Writing, which gives me an unnatural attraction to any and all literature. i LOVE Perks -- i made a mix CD just like Charlie's when i first read the book way back when, and it's still one of my favorite CDs to sleep to. and i noticed your mention of the Beat poets -- do you have a favorite? i've always been drawn toward Kerouac, myself. additionally, Ted Hughes -- I've never read his work, but love Sylvia's. does it compare at all? is it a totally different style?

we have a lot of fave movies in common - you mention you liked Pan's Labrynth -- one of my favorites. and you mentioned you like anything remotely scary - so i'm curious - have you seen The Orphanage? it's also subtitled, but is a great horror flick. i still get the willies when i think about it. another horror film i love is The Hole. have you seen that one? i tend to lean towards the psychological movies more so than the supernatural. do you have a favorite "type" of horror movie? i also wanted to second @alexalgebra 's comment that if you like Freaks & Geeks you'd love Undeclared.

haha, your obsession with pens makes me smile, because i, too, have the penchant to find the perfect pen for each different thing i use pens for - journaling, letter writing, etc. maybe it's an English major thing? :)

i really enjoyed reading your profile, and i hope i run into you again soon on the 'bot / through TD.

cheers, jo

Hi Becca! It was fun to read your profile :) First I looked at your Flickr and the chunky book pages you've made are beautiful. I love it when people draw in their chunky book pages and your drawings are unique.

I too like Burton, Whedon and comic books. :) Donnie Darko is my favorite movie and Firefly is very close to being my favorite series, although it had only one season. The fact that you have the same moped as in Amelie is wicked cool ! :) I totally agree that America has the best TV shows. And Bill Murray is awesome.

What else umm.. we seem to have similar crafting interests, using paints and scrapbook papers and ribbons and broken jewellery ETC.. I live for that stuff, trading handmade chunky book/decorative book things with people around the world. I love your "Imagery I like" list, there's so much that feels close to me. Like Alice in Wonderland, fairytales, birds, emo boys and girls (ha!), Tim Burton, trees and leaves, skulls... I'd really like to swap with you someday! Until then.. stay cool.

Riikka / Let's meet. Okay. My profile or yours?

I was happy to see you as one of my partners for the Let's meet swap. I've looked through your profile many times. We have so much stuff in common, especially in the music department. I simply ADORE that pic of you. It's so nerdy and so absolutely cute!!! And that we both like Bill Murray is so rad. You're one of my favorite people in the whole wide world and I'm lucky to have had you as a partner on SB more than a few times. Plus, you saved our group from a sheer train wreck and I can't say how much I'm grateful for that. I love ya girl.
