Crinolinelady

Hello......I am not good at talking about myself but I am a young! grandmother would you believe of 10 little darling munchkins.

My husband and I are builders (I am a carpenter by trade)and all our four children are married, so we are empty nesters now. I am retired from working on the tools outside and work four days a week at a second hand shop.

I am a country cottage lady and we grow our own vegetables and have fruit trees. I love Antiques and vintage china.(I have had my crinoline lady china on display in the Melbourne museum) My husband and I had a lovely little gift shop for a few years called "the Christmas tree shop" here in Australia, SO I collect vintage christmas decorations too ..........

I adore giving and so this is just so me! to do swaps that is. I love anything old so am happy for vintage pieces to be included in any swap to me. but most of all I enjoy whatever you want to send I have no special wants just enjoying the swap and the great items that may be sent to me. :o)

Well I truly love "The call of the loons" and any music that was not produced in the last 10 years. lol lol! :o) just kidding!

I do not mind most music if it makes someone happy! then good.

I just love silent movies (no I am not that old!) and I love movies that bring out the tissues and they make you feel good!

I very much enjoy the old cowboy movies, and Christmas movies too why I could watch them all year.

I would prefer however to read a great time travel romance book or an Amish story now they are just lovely.

Antique roadshow...........O! that is a great one. And believe it or not! :o)

I love "this old house" when We can get to see it here in Australia. Our Aussie Television is not that good with only 5 free to air channels. I love Northern exposure, I watch if I am home Oprah, But I must admit I prefer to be on the net and visiting my "blog friends" and them coming over to my blog.

I guess you could say cross stitch but more then me doing it I just love to see other peoples wonderful craft projects and admire their skills.

I am goodish in the garden,

I am fair at decorating,

I have just started to do a swing tag or two in the old world style so I would adore anything to add to those - any little treasure to add to the tags would be a fun thing to receive.

BUT! I just love to collect vintage and country pieces and as we live in an old world cottage I guess that could be a craft (well kinda!) You can find me any week hunting for vintage or old pieces when I can in second hand (junk or thrift) shops or at garage sales (yard sales) you just never know when you may find "that special treasure" you just must have!

Now this is strange me adding this to my profile but many ask me what do you want? what would you like?

well I guess I will say a little more about my loves....... I love & I adore Vintage! Vintage! & more Vintage!

You could go to any thrift store or or second hand shop and buy me anything for the kitchen, for any room infact and I would be over the moon with happiness.

I adore cloth servettes, table cloths, dish cloths, cookie cutters, and just about anything that was in a kitchen in the 1930-1950s.....truly anything as I said Any old thing! (smiles)

I also love the smell of Christmas, Christmas room sprays, Christmas candles and Christmas anything......My husband and I have so many vintage christmas decorations AND the whole village (well almost) of New England dept.56 and our 9 grand children love to see it set up they watch the lights in the houses twinkle and the snow shine every Christmas.

So what DO I LOVE? its VINTAGE ANYTHING & VINTAGE CHRISTMAS ANYTHING.

There that was easy..........O! I also love the normal things like Any teas, Any soaps, and lip gloss and ANY CHOCOLATES. Anything really!!
