Hi! Ok, a little about me. I really would rather poke straight pins in my eyes than write one of these, but I'll give it a shot. I am a crazy, sarcastic wife, mom and pediatric respiratory therapist. I recently wnet back to work after being a sahm for 7 years. That has been quite the rough transition. I have two kids. My son is 12 and my daughter is 7 1/2. My son and I get along really well, the girlie, not so much. I know this is just a season with my daughter, and it'll get better, but man, it's rough. My favorite child, however, is an almost 3 year old. He is so sweet and just loves to snuggle. He is covered all over in white fur and is named Moses. He is a purebred Maltese that I got at a shelter and he is the only one in the house that doesn't talk back! ;0P My hubby is awesome! He was even foldng laundry this morning while I read the paper! Definately a keeper. We met when I was 15 and he was 16 and we have been together ever since. I would be lost without him. He is truly my better half. We are still sappy sweet, sending each other love notes on facebook ad nauseum. We will be together 25 years in June. This website is sooo cool. I remember having a Japanese pen pal when I was young and I sooo loved it! I have always wanted another per pal from some far away place. I live in Illinois and just feel like it's so hum drum.
I enjoy reading and meditation as well as learning about other's traditions and cultures.

I love all kinds of music! I will listen to just about anything. I have an open mind and love to explore! I do love, love, love Gary Allan. He is a country singer from here in the states. He is adorable!!! Wowza! I also love the Black Eyed Peas. I know, totally the opposite end of the spectrum. But, they are so much fun! I also love ANYTHING that is written and/or sung by Will Duvall. Remember that name!!!! You'll be seeing him soon! He is a fantastic person, musician and friend!!!!

I cannot read enough books! I like all kinds! My favs are the Sookie Stackhouse novels.I read all of them last year in the span of about two months. I also love the Harry Potter series, Twilight, and I love love loved Eat, Pray, Love! I want to read that one again because we are going to Italy in June. I don't care if it's sci-fi or narrative or whatever!!! There is nothing that can compare to the joy of getting totally lost in the pages of a book! I'll read just about anything!!!! I am always reading something, and if I find something that I particularly love, my family knows that they have lost me for a couple days.....

Oh, I am a true 80's girl! Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink!!! Although not 80's, I could watch Overboard over nad over and over and over again. I also like scary movies as long as the hubby is there to hold my hand! And sappy romantic chick flicks are fun too.

Television...hmmmm well, Gray's Anatomy, Private Practice, Criminal Minds (oh that Morgan is HOT), Modern Family cracks me up!!!! The funniest show in a long time!!!!

I am a paper junkie! I love journals and notebooks. I do scrapbook, but end up spending way too much money on stickers and paper. I recently bought a pad of "poo paper" from Brookfield Zoo. It is paper made from elephant poop. No, it does not smell and no it is not brown. I just thought, How Cool! Now that is the ultimate in recycling!!!! I love cute stickers and stickers with quotes. I also like Kawaii.

Also, I'm totally interested in friendship books, but I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around what they are, exactly. If anyone would like to send me one with a swap, with info on what to do with it, it'll guarantee you a heart!!!!! Thanks!!!!!
