And the people stayed home.
And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still.
And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows.
And the people began to think differently. And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.

profile-update: January 2021
Heya, my name is Moni. Well actually Monika, but since most of the people wrote Monica and all of my friends and family call me Moni anyway, I decided to change it in my address-box too. :-)
I work in a library (since 1993) and enjoy it, although I don't read as much as I used to read. Being together (since February 14th 2006) with the love of my life @LillyLupin formerly DarthD and I'm really happy! :-) We share the same address of course, but it's all sorted out with Rachel Johnson!
We don't have any pets (would love to live with a dog someday!), but our balcony totally belongs to the birds! :D We feed them all year round: blue and great tits, eurasian jays, magpies and now crows, doves and woodpeckers are visiting the whole day. We love to watch them, when we're sitting in our living-room, or working in the kittchen. :-)
Me in a nutshell: Introvert philanthrop with misanthropic tendencies.
I hate tests on animals!!! So I try to avoid those products!
I don't give hearts for extras! I'll give a heart when I feel/see that the swap was made with love! :-) You can earn a heart if you write a friendly note (including adressing me with my name and not only a hello), or fold/prepare/cut your letter or other stuff properly and not hastily or careless like you do for a school subject you don't like! Send something nice! It is really sad to have to write something like this, that should be required! :-/
'Stolen' from my sweetie's @LillyLupin profile:
I don't like scary stuff, so no zombies, evil clowns (or clowns in general actually), horror, splatter or anything else that gives me nightmares
I don't like brutality. Neither in real life nor in fiction. My mind cannot comprehend what people do to each other (or animals) for absurd or no reason! And I find nothing entertaining about it to watch it
---------------------------------------------------------
packages and re-swapping:
I recycle bubble-envies and boxes. Means, if they are not torn I use them again to protect the environment. You can do this too when you send to me. :-)
I also don't wrap the swaps I send, in nice papers. They may look nice, but I think, this is not necessary. Another way to protect the environment. So you don't have to do that either in the swaps you send me! That doesn't mean, that I don't wrap them up carefully if necessary!
If you don't like/or can't use something I've sent, you can reswap/regift it. I too will give things away, that I can't use or don't need. With that said, I will never claim that I created something, that I didn't!!! When I pass handmade things to someone else, that are not mine, I will say so and I will never send them as a replacement of my part of the swap, but as an extra!
I'll angel all of my swaps I host myself.

postcards and postage stamps with the british royal family members on them
I believe some people like them sent naked and some, like me and many others, unwritten in an envie. I will respect and send both ways. I always take a look at my partner's profile or ask and I don't judge anyone about the way she/he likes it. :-)
I'm not into handmade-pcs!
I prefer to get my postcards unwritten in an envie (unless the swap-description says otherwise). Thank you! :-)
I'm not very fond of oversized postcards!
I collect:
Anything Great Britain (statuary, castles, countryside, famous buildings, history, Sir Winston Churchill, etc.)
I would love to get some Quokka-postcards
I love:
The word "gift" means "poison" in the German language.
The word "tag" means "day" in German.
The word "wand" means "wall" in German.
The word "angel" means "fishing rod" in German.
The word "kind" means "child" in German and so means "kinder" = "children".
The word "die" means the female form of "the" in German.
The sentence "Die in hell." means "This/those in bright (colour)" in German.
