About Me

I am a grandmother living in New Zealand with 8 grandchildren. I was born in Holland but have lived in New Zealand for 49 years.

I am new to the field of ATCs having just swapped a few with other New Zealanders and a few with people living in Australia and England. I am really keen to get the opportunity to be able to swap in a number of different topics and was introduced to this site by my daughter who has also joined up.

Likes/Dislikes

I enjoy receiving ATCs in collage, hand drawn and those where people have taken some care in producing.

I dislike oriental themed cards and cards where it seems like people haven't really been bothered with the production.

I also feel strongly about people taking part in swaps and then not following through with them. The whole thing about ATCs are they are supposed to be traded. I am looking forward to receiving some great cards.

Favorite Crafts

I am an amateur artist, painting in watercolours and acrylics. I also do a variety of handcrafts such as quilting, knitting and crochet.

Favorite Books

I enjoy reading Historical Romances. I have also been known to spend some time completing crossword and word puzzles.

Comment: The swap description said the film should be from 1960s or earlier. I could maybe excuse it if it were from a bit later, but Silence of the Lambs was made in 1991. I also don't really think this qualifies as "art". You just printed off some pictures and slapped them on. If you feel this is unfair, please PM me.

Comment: Lovely atc - it feels very special to get dried flowers all the way from a garden in New Zealand! The plant looks a lot like the cattails that grew in our marsh in Ohio. The extra papers are appreciated, too. TYVM. Kathy
Response: Glad you liked my ATC card yes the dried stuff is from the garden I try to dry some of the more unusual flowers the leaves are from the Pahutakawa tree or Christmas tree, native to New Zealand.It has very nice Red flowers regards ElsD

Comment: The ATC is really neat, its very blurry but reminds me a lot of a liquid screen monitor or television, where if you pull the image back it becomes almost crystal clear. (Meant to be view from a distance) really love it though, thank you for joining my swap! :D
