About Me

I live on Vancouver Island. I'm 23 and I love to play guitar and do very many crafty things... I knit, spin, crochet, draw etc.etc.etc... When/if I grow up I want to be a teacher. Until then I will enjoy working in a coffee shop. I have a lovely little kitten named Ava... she's a doll. My favorite colours are green, brown, and pink... some would say I'm a bit of a hippy... I'm ok with that :)

** special note.. UNFORTUNATELY I have received a poor rating for a recent swap I participated in. Due to the difficulties I have been having with the post office my parcel did not arrive on time. I hope that every one else swapping with me can see that for every other swap I have had very pleased partners. As we all understand not every swap goes as expected but as a community we come together and forgive each other's shortcomings.. That is one thing I love most about Swap-bot. So please look past that one disappointing rating and give me the chance to swap with you :) Oh and Merry Christmas! **

I thought I would add a little section just for the people who are trying to figure out what to send me... it's taken a little while for me to figure this site out! haha...

For the November birthday swap... I would love anything you put together but I know that you wanted a little more specific stuff... so I love getting letter sets like funky stationary with matching envelopes... I like stickers... i would love some old-school smelly stickers. I love things with lots of colour like pencil crayons or sharpies.. art supplies that i can use. I want to get more into sewing so i would love pieces of fabric that i could use for a quilt or patches... I like lip gloss that smells yummy... fun stamps... tea...stickers, candy, anything fun like that.. I hope that can help you out a bit more.

Further inspiration

I love hand made things. they make me smile... I'm the kind of girl that really lives by it's the thought that counts.. so I would rather have a small package filled with something you spent time making or picking out just for me than a random bunch of brand new things that I might never use...

Some other things I love... I love my kitten Ava and how much fun she has playing with just one toy mouse all over the apartment. I love baking banana bread with chocolate chips. I love getting letters with fun funky envelopes. STICKERS are amazing!

I've been really into Henna lately. I love the whole Indian culture! I love watching Bollywood and I wish I could find more films with English subtitles. I love Indian art, henna, the patterns, the colours... everything about it is just intriguing to me.

Living on the Island I am surrounded by hippy culture and I really like it. I love natural fibers that I can spin... hand-knits fingerless gloves... fair isle knitting. I am currently tackling a cable-knit vest from the newest Interweave knits.

Comment: Oh the girls and Pretty Boy just love their treats! The girls learned very quickly what the treat bags look like and all I have to do is touch them and they come running. The hid their candy cane toys as soon as they got them so I've not seen them since! They do think my mom got the stuff for them though because she was over and helped them open their presents. They think everything I got them was from her too so.... Pretty Boy was a little wary of the treat balls at first but once he realized what they were he was very happy and sang a little song to them before he gobbled them up.

Ok, make a point but don't go on and on and on!! Don't worry most people would see through that rating. I would happliy swap with you ANYTIME, and your letter didn't take too long to get here. Comment: My bf made me open everything as soon as I got it today lol.. and he tried to steal the chocolate!! and he ran around with the necklace you made on .. until the ribbon knots came out and it fell off.. lol. Thanks for the matchbox too.. it's my first one and the cute little envelopes you made!!! I LOVE IT ALL!! :) Especially the CD... You need more hearts!!

Comment: I still haven't recieved anything, 26 days after deadline and way into Advent. I do believe you sent the package at deadline, but that doesn't help when the whole point about the swap was to receive the package before December 1st. Until now, I leave you with a 1, but I'll change it to a 3 as soon as I get the package. I really don't like to ruin anything for you by giving you a bad rating, but I don't see how I can give you a 5 either - no matter how great the package is when I recieve it. Even though you're a great swapper, maybe you should take your mail service for what it is and drop swaps where the recieving date is important? Because this swap is now just sad for both you and me - you for making the afford, sending it and getting a bad rating and me for not recieving what I signed up for. Delayments are okay, and I accept really much, but when you know mail from your place is really slow (I can see from other ratings that it have taken a month sometimes), you should take that in concideration when signing up for a swap like this. I hope you understand what I mean and think about it next year. Postage times aren't in your control, but when you're aware of how long time it can take, as it's not the first time it has taken this long time, I think you should either send packages really early and warn your partner about a possible delayment or realize that you cannot participate in all kinds of swaps because of these factors outside your control. I'm sorry it turned out this way...
