crafty fairy minion. i like flying kites and attempting to climb trees, riding bikes, building things, BIRDS and owls
the basics? well, i am 24, and live in Winnipeg. it is very cold here.
i love DIY everything, neat screenprints, etsy, indiefixx, crazy wrapping paper, , vintage book pages, realistic animals, nature, trees, deco/wasi tape, handmade, things made from bike parts, brown and green things, birds of prey, things made from other things, herbs and spices, stickers (especially nature themed or old looking), all kinds of tea, ribbon, real wool or neat kinds of yarn (silk, bamboo, hemp, recycled etc), stone and glass beads, bike related stuff, knitting notions
pretty much all my free time is spent doing crafts. some of them: sewing, knitting, crocheting, spinning, wood carving/burning, spoon making, jewelery/ beading, screen printing, stenciling, quilting, candle making, vanilla making, christmas light/ bike wheel chandelier assembling, sugar-free baking (or trying to), wire work (just learning)
i love teas, i am especially into Rooibos and herbal organic tea. typically the less caffeine the better! (my partner really likes earl grey and flavored green teas.)
owl things. we really like owls. and birds.
deco tape, wasi tape
patterns-- if you have tried a pattern and loved it i would appreciate a copy! (i am a good knitter but love the easy zone-out and watch tv kind of knitting best)
things with realistic bikes, owls, birds, deer, or trees are always a sure bet with me!
blank notecards of any sort, stickers!
wool or interesting spun fiber (no acrylic pls) i like a good dishcloth cotton too!
home-made things!
swap cards
letter opener
T-shirt yarn (make me some out of a throw away shirt! if you google it there are lots of tutorials)
home made envies
fun sugar packets (or ones from your region/language) my mom collects them!
return address labels
i dont like things that are anime, kawaii, cartoons, cutesy or religious. or acrylic yarn. i dont eat sugar/gluten/soy. so food stuffs are best avoided (aside from sugar packets from your region which my mom collects!)
kinda sad about swap bot. i try so hard to send folks things they will like from there profile and sometimes get what i perceive as junk, though maybe to them it isnt. recently in a little advent swap i got a torn off computer button. sigh
if anyone ever wants to do thoughtful private swaps i am starting to feel that might be a better way!
i have a couple swap-ey things i'd love to send to anyone who might enjoy them.... (things i've received that arent in my taste)
--vintage christian notecards (different occasions and sentiments) --tourist postcards from different places --notecards of various sorts (mostly sorta kitchy)
just let me know and i'll send em over, just for fun! north america preferred.

Hi! I'm really glad you liked the swap! It's great fun finding people with similar tastes in music/films/cooking/etc. :) I'd love to steal your vegan brownie recipe, and the dragon sounds amazing! (I must warn you that I can currently only do scarves and pom poms, which aren't even really knitting.) A private swap would be fun, although not just yet as I have recently spent a lot more money than I intended on stamps! But hold that thought... :)
HEY! I sent u an invite to the LLL~Location, Location, Location Group.
I hope you join in & check in occassionally to see who's swapbotting in your area!!! ;-)
It 's for all Swapbotters, so u can invite anyone too, ENJOY ;-) Blessings, cc
Hi! I just wanted to welcome you to the "Profile-Themed Happy Mail #1" Group Swap! Thank you for joining!!
thank you so much for the Tea is Love WTA! LOVE the postcards and the tea!
thank you for the fun little wooden box full of goodies for the Tea is Love WTA #6. I can't wait to try the teas, and the mushroom ornament is already hanging in my studio :)
Thankyou Veda for the New Year greeting :) I do like period adaptations on the tv but for some reason I never watched 'Lark Rise' :( Last year from October through to the new year we were knee deep in snow and yet this year it has been snow free and the weather has been cold, wet and windy but with sunny spells! I hope you are keeping warm and well, Carol.
Hello Veda, just popped by with Seasons Greetings to you and to wish you all the very best for the New Year, Carol
Ahaha, strange coincidences. I've heard he's coming out with a new cd soon... super excited!
I meant to leave this in my rating, but forgot.. in your note you mentioned Firefly and I LOVE that show! My husband and I rewatch it all the time on DVD and mourn that it's not still being made. :) Thanks again for the nice note.. glad to see another owl fan out in the world!
Oh, and since you also love owls, you should really check this out: http://www.myowlbarn.com/p/owl-lover-2012-calendar.html
