♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ WE JUST ADOPTED A NEW PUPPY!!! SHE'S A FAWN COLORED CHIHUAHUA/JACK RUSSELL MIX. SHE'S ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE AND A REAL SWEETHEART. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

In reality... I'm a thirty-something, vegetarian, stay-at-home mom. I have two kids (girl-11, boy-5), two amazing white kitties (Justice and Liberty), one black dog (Buddha) and two brown guinea pigs (Ziggy and Bowie).

In my mind... I'm still back in the 80's, listening to all things dark and gorgeous, wearing all black, reading Camus, surrounded by a cloud of incense and... well, you get it...

I got an iPod for Christmas... and I filled it with The Smiths, MORRISSEY, The Cure, New Order, Sinead, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Tori Amos, Janes Addiction, Kanye West, The Killers, Panic! at the Disco, They Might Be Giants, Damian Rice, David Bowie, REM, Radiohead, The White Stripes, The Decemberists, Jack Johnson, John Lennon☮ and quite a few "one-hit wonders" from the 80's (of course!). I love this iPod!!!

I love to read fantasy and mysteries. A few of my favorite fantasy authors are Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, Anne Rice, Christopher Moore and Terry Pratchett, but there are tons of new great fantasy being written these days, like Stephanie Meyers, Charlaine Harris and Holly Black. I can't get enough of faeries and vampires, but I do like it intelligently written. Has anyone else read the Jaz Parks series by Jennifer Rardin? It's a unique and cool variation on the theme.

I really want to read some Robert Rankin novels, but unfortunately my library doesn't have any. :(

Before my daughter was born... everything in my world was black. However, her arrival brought out my long forgotten love of HELLO KITTY!!! Now together, we obsess over kawaii cuties... And now my world is PINK (trimmed in black ☺), with glitter and sparkly, shiny things.

BLYTHE, Poupee Girl, Kawaii (love SAN-X characters), Pucca, Pokemon and Neopets (my kids are a bad influence), Faeries (but only mischevious ones, not cute ones), Cool Felt Food, Odd Handmade Things, BIRDS!!! (my children are both named after birds), and JAPANESE EVERYTHING (especially fabric, pottery and art)... oh, and mushrooms, cupcakes, cherry blossoms, pandas, Momiji dolls and Buddhas, yeah, those, too.

Favorite Colors

I love Chocolate Brown, especially combined with a Soft Pink or a Robin's Egg Blue. I love pink with green, too! I prefer the softer tones of colors instead of the jewel tones or primary colors. I do love neutrals with an accent of primary color, though (like oatmeal with bright red or tan with bright blue). And, I love patterns with bright, happy, fresh colors.

Favorite Fabrics

Japanese Cotton (especially the heavier weight stuff), Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Alexander Henry, Valori Wells (amazingly cute flannels!), Tina Givens, Robert Kaufman, Joel Dewberry and Moda fabrics.

☢ Ummm, I can't say it strongly enough... I LOATHE YELLOW METALS! You know, gold and brass. Yucky! I really hate the color gold anything.

☢ Country-style is also not my thing, and I have an aversion to teddy bears and crocheted food.

☢ Also, with all due respect, please don't send me religious items or art.

☢ NO DISNEY... pretty please.

☢ No blood and gore, and nothing truly scary. (I like my dark things sorta cute, usually with some loveable quality.)

☢ Oddly, I also, DO NOT LIKE Goth/Halloween Kawaii all that much, and I prefer not to get it.

☢ Please, NO BATH or BEAUTY products. I have severe chemical sensitivities. My children have skin allergies as well.

☢ NO CANDY. Yes, it's very sad, but I must watch what I eat and my children only have candy on holidays.

LIKES: Blythe, Hello Kitty (she collects HK tins), Kawaii (especially cute animal kawaii, but not the real animal ones), Blind Box toys (especially Hello Kitty), Pucca, Totoro, PANDAS, Nintendo DS, MAGNETS!!!, hair accessories, Comics (She loves the Far Side and Garfield), Lip gloss/chap stick (like Lipsmackers), Earrings from Claires (sensitive solutions) and French stuff (she's learning the language).

DISLIKES: Disney, Barbie, Bratz, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Camp Rock and Princess anything.

☆ ☆ JAKE - 5 ☆ ☆

LIKES: Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars, TOTORO, WALL-E, Pokemon especially Pikachu, CARS the movie, VW Beetles and Mini Coopers are his favorite cars, ROBOTS and rocket ships, SkippyJon Jones series are his favorite books and he really loves Hannari Tofu.

DISLIKES: Nickelodeon shows (He used to watch them, but now he says he's too old), Disney, THOMAS the train, Dinosaurs, Spiderman (and super heroes in general), Toys with swords or guns, camouflage stuff, Nascar, the Hulk and Plastic play food.

In general...

...the kids both love animals and nature and we are vegetarian. We avoid plastic as much as we can, but this is tough sometimes. We play with paper, wood, metal and fabric toys as much as possible. Both children have very sensitive skin and we avoid most lotions and soaps. And lastly, please DO NOT SEND CANDY. (very sad, I know... I feel like the Grinch)

♡ I NEED TOTORO (My kid's favorite!)

♡ Anything related to Blythe!!!

♡ Fabric scraps or fat quarters, I can use and will love any cotton fabric, especially Japanese fabric and plain linen!

♡ Kawaii (I love Hannari Tofu, KUROMI, Deery Lou, Mamegoma, Pandapple and "Cat with Socks", but I love all the cute animal Kawaii, except I DO NOT like the real animal stuff)

♡ Bird art (Doves and ravens are the best, but all birds are awesome)

♡ Used/Copied/PDF sewing patterns for things like totes and purses (I would love an Amy Butler pattern), Blythe size clothing and felt animals, dolls and play food.

♡ Emily the Strange and Ruby Gloom (My kids would really love episodes of the Ruby Gloom show from Canadian tv burnt on DVD)

♡ Maneki Neko (without gold accents)

♡ Decole (mushrooms!!!)

♡ I would love to do a one-on-one trade for an unazukin or momiji doll!

♡ I will never have enough totes, pouches and cozies for my stuff!

♡ I need wool felt , even scraps are welome!
