I'm a thirty-something, vegetarian, mom and full-time college student. I have two beautiful kids (Paloma -14 and Jake -7), two amazing white kitties (Justice and Liberty), two silly doggies (Buddha and Bijou) and a really special guy that seems to love me even when I'm not loveable. I'm very lucky.
I have crafting ADD and find myself jumping from one incomplete project to the next. I'm learning how to use a sewing machine and I have a love/hate relationship going on there. In the past, I have made felt food and stuffies. I have also dabbled into needlefelting and embroidery.
Currently, I like to trade ATCs. I'm really into handdrawn or painted art cards. I recently discovered Zentangles and I'm enjoying experimenting with that. I love my Blythe dolls, too and would like to have more time (and money) to spend on that hobby. I'm hoping for a new camera sometime soon so I can take cool pictures of my lovely girls.

The Smiths, MORRISSEY, The Cure, Black Keys, Sinead, Cage the Elephant, Morcheeba, Tori Amos, Janes Addiction, Citizen Cope, Arcade Fire, Metric, They Might Be Giants, Damian Rice, Panic at the Disco, David Bowie, REM, Radiohead, Ben Harper, The White Stripes, The Decemberists, Jack Johnson and John Lennon☮.
I like to read paranormal fantasy and mysteries, but I read many different things. I read quite a bit and have done so since I was young. Recently, I gave in and bought a Kindle, and even though I love books, I'm really lovin' the Kindle, too.
A few of my favorite "fantasy" authors are Neil Gaiman, Anne Rice, Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchett and Charlaine Harris. I also can't get enough of faeries and vampires, but I do like it intelligently written (and so much of it isn't lately) and humor is a plus.
I tend to read alot of YA fiction, such as, Scott Westerfeld, Philip Pullman, Kirsten Miller, Debi Gliori and Jonathan Stroud, just to name a quick few.
As far as Mysteries, I love a good series and I mainly like the "cozies" or paranormal mysteries. No forensics or serial killers for me. I adore authors like Elizabeth Peters, Martha Grimes, Victoria Laurie, Rita Mae Brown, Lillian Jackson Braun and John D. MacDonald.

BLYTHE, Poupee Girl, Kawaii (love SAN-X characters), Whimsical art, Zakka sewing, Odd Handmade Things, BIRDS!!! (my children both have bird names), and contemporary JAPANESE EVERYTHING (especially fabric).
☢ Ummm, I can't say it strongly enough... I LOATHE YELLOW METALS! You know, gold and brass. Yucky! I really hate the color gold anything.
☢ Country-style is not my thing.
☢ Also, with all due respect, please don't send me religious items or art.
☢ NO DISNEY... pretty please.
☢ No blood and gore, and nothing truly scary. (I like my dark things sorta cute, usually with some loveable quality.)
☢ Oddly, I also, DO NOT LIKE Goth/Halloween Kawaii all that much, and I prefer not to get it.
☢ Please, NO BATH or BEAUTY products. I have severe chemical sensitivities. My children have skin allergies as well.
☢ NO CANDY. Yes, it's very sad, but I must watch what I eat and my children only have candy on holidays.
☢ NO STICKERS, unless they are kawaii sticker flakes or I have joined a sticker swap. My kids are no longer into stickers and I have more lying around than I will ever use.
♥ IN THIS FAMILY, WE ABSOLUTELY TREASURE HANDMADE THINGS! ♥
LIKES: Blythe, Hello Kitty (she collects HK tins), Kawaii, Pucca, Bento stuff, Studio Ghibli movies, PANDAS, MAGNETS!!!, hair accessories, Manga and Comics, Lip gloss, and earrings from Claires (sensitive solutions).
LIKES: ROBOTS and rocket ships, Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars, TOTORO, WALL-E, Pokemon especially Pikachu, CARS the movie, VW Beetles and Mini Coopers are his favorite cars, and he really loves Hannari Tofu.
In general...
...the kids both love animals and nature and we are vegetarian. We avoid plastic as much as we can, but this is tough sometimes (especially with Bento stuff). We play with paper, wood, metal and fabric toys as much as possible. Both children have very sensitive skin and we avoid most lotions and soaps. And lastly, please...
DO NOT SEND CANDY.

I promise to rate all swaps sent to me. Also, I promise to rate based on the quality of the swap item(s) themselves and not based on "extras".
My opinion regarding "extras":
I don't always send extras. I don't expect them either.
I used to feel pressured to stick random bits into swaps because many people expect them and will not give out a heart if you do not include these "extras". I have since decided that I will except this rather than send useless things out with my swaps, especially ATC swaps where it is desirable to keep the postage low. It seems so wasteful to send stickers and "ephemera" that no one wants. And even worse, in my opinion, is the idea that the swap item can be of less quality if you send extra stuff.
Sometimes I do still send "extras". I send them because the swap inspires me to do so or the person I'm sending to has a profile that inspires me. Sometimes I put "extras" in because I'm sending to the host of the swap. Whatever the reason, if I send extra with a swap, it is something relevant to the swap and something of value. Also, I never send "extras" because the quality of the swap itself is poor. That just dosen't feel right to me.
