Hello All -
My sincere apologies for the recent flaking. I had a family crisis which took precedence over everything. I will be sending all the swaps within 7 days. In addition, I have a box of mail from all of you. I am looking forward to the coming weekend when I can open them and rate every nice thing you have sent. My soul can use the break and I'm sure they will bring a badly needed smile to my face.
If you have sent me an email, I will reply tonight.
Thank you for you patience and understanding.
I have 2 cats, Lucky Jack and Twinkle, and a dog, Flash. I volunteer as a mentor at Gads Hill Center for a 7th grade girl and at a dog shelter. Every 2-3 months, I do Senior Bingo for a senior club at Gads Hill. The ladies love when I come because I bring prizes, a snack and call the numbers. We make it very nice with table clothes, decorations and goodie bags. The seniors are on very small fixed incomes and really love all the bonuses when I come. The environment is very important me so I worm composter and teach classes to help folks get their own worm composting bins going. I am a producer/writer/director/actor and can work cameras, lights, and the control room. Currently I am working on a show called 123 Twirl for a company I co-own called FonduTv.com It's a mockumentary sitcom about the sport of Ribbon Dancing - Couples Division. I love it!
I enjoy reading - currently I am reading The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy. Magazines are a guilty pleasure - I love them all.
I listen to a wide range of music. I'm looking forward to Lollapalooza in a couple months.
Lot's of favorite movies - here are 5 in no particular order: Groundhog Day, Raiders of the Lost Arc, Star Wars, Love Actually, Sixteen Candles
Here are some of my favorites: the Office, Lost (so bummed it ended), Friends, 30 Rock, 24, Chuck
Paper crafts, crochet, sewing- I like quilting and making stuffed animals and other small projects, Some knitting. I like decorating styrofoam with pins, beads and sequins. I picked a low dresser without drawers out of the garbage. I put baskets in it and use it by my back door. I'm hoping to paint it and decoupage it - which would be new techniques for me.
I like postcards, paper scraps and punches, ribbon, stamped images I can use on projects, yarn, fabric, fleece, bright cheery prints, island prints, black/tuxedo cats, dogs, animals in general, sequins, glitter, kitchen towels, trading pins, Olympics, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Stanley Cup Champions The Chicago Blackhawks. I like all colors, but tend to gravitate toward beachy cool colors - blue, aqua, green, purple. Prizes and supplies for my Senior Bingo events are always appreciated - Prizes: food items, toiletries, cards, stuffed animals, pens, Decorations: Table clothes, small items to set out on tables, saucer and cups, etc. Goodie Bags - there are usually no more than 12 ladies - Chap stick, hand lotions, reusable shopping bags.
No smokey smelling items please - I was in a fire and the smell triggers my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
