Hello Everyone! I joined this website because I started writing letters to friends and family after I moved far away from them, and it has sense then became a really fun hobby of mine that flourished during the covid pandemic. I don’t have a ton of time on my hands but I hope to join swaps when I can and have some fun with all of you!

A little bit about me: I am 20 years old and I am a huge animal lover. I don’t have any pets of my own due to my current living situation and the cost of pets, but I did grow up with them. I am a professional dog trainer who focuses on the behavioral side of training instead of obedience. My parents have a standard poodle and a cavalier King Charles spaniel who are both very cute and sweet (though I could be biased). When I’m home you can often find me playing video games or doing art. I love watercolor painting and gouache painting along with some oil painting. With that said, It wouldn’t be uncommon to find a homemade card or a print of one of my works if the swap allows it 😉

Like:

—Postcards!!! These are my most favorite thing to send and receive, especially naked ones that have a personal message about the postcard or you or whatnot.

—Long letters. I haven’t been as active in pen paling, but when I do join these swaps I love reading about you and any thoughts you may have, and I’ll always be sure to send the same things back!

—Polaroid pictures, such as of your pets or of a project you are working on.

—Art!!! I love doing art myself, and I especially love receiving other people’s art, whether it’s the original piece or a print on a card/postcard.

Dislike:

—I do not drink tea or coffee, so that sort of stuff would be useless to me.

—Try not to have loose glitter, confetti, or anything that is going to make a mess please and thank you.

Since I mentioned I’m a big animal lover I figured I’d share some of my favorites, though I’ll love really anything I’m sent:

—Dogs! Like I said before, I’m a dog trainer so in a way they are literally my life, even if I can’t afford to have one at this time.

—I do enjoy cats too, I grew up with a few of them but the last one my parents had sadly passed away a while ago.

—Hedgehogs! I had one growing up, and I am thinking of adopting another as my first pet since I really enjoyed her.

—Snakes. I think they’re really cool animals and I would love to own one at some point in my life.

I have a few hobbies I really enjoy, some of them work great in addition to pen paling!

—Art. I love painting in water colors and gouache the most. I also enjoy oil painting and some good old sketching on pen and paper along with on my iPad.

—Gaming. I love playing games, it helps me relax and it is a fun thing to do with friends. I’m a huge Pokémon nerd and have played most of the generations. I’ve been playing a lot of Stardew Valley recently along with Monster Hunter Rise. I’m also a big fan of Animal Crossing.

—Camping. I grew up camping a lot with my dad, specifically backpacking. I love backpacking to lakes and other pretty sights around my area, especially during the non winter months.
