I like to get mail.
I am interested in travel and learning about different cultures.
I read books in the mystery, suspense, and techo-SIFI genres.
I like to attend live theater, especially musical theater.
I review books for two e-zines under my pen name of Linda Marie Schumacher:
I am also a member of www.wheresgeorge.com under the username of LovelyLinda.

I grow a garden in the summer. My grandparents were German immigrants who were farmers in Deutchland. They continued the tradition here, so I think the gardening is in my Bavarian bloodline! I live in suburbia so I only have a backyard garden. I enjoy it, but I never seem to get very much produce. Part of it is for exercise and recreation. I have good success with tomatoes and peppers.
I love Postcards. I am part of Postcrossing and I enjoy sending postcards of sights around the US to my overseas partners. I also like Broadway shows and opera.
So, here's my Postcards ideas:
Buildings, Bridges, Beaches, Monuments, Fountains, Theaters, State Capitols, preferably with the name of the location or item or printed on the front of the card.
Anything to do with Broadway shows, and opera.
For my animal postcard swappers (cats, birds, cows, etc)- I prefer photos of or realistic artwork. I prefer not to receive cartoons or abstract drawings. I have three cats. Cher(17), TC (8), and Rex (2).
Update August 2017- I also like certain overseas postcards; especially anything from Vienna, Austria and Berlin, Germany. I also like photos from the Vatican, the Vatican Museum, and Singapore.
My favorite color is blue. It is a hard shade to describe, but it is the color of the sky on a bright sunny day. It is also the bright blue in a blue jay. One of the rooms in my house is painted that color and I have many shirts in that color.
My college colors are Navy Blue and Gold. Yes, I went to the Naval Academy. I have LOTs of blue and gold clothes. We call that, "Spirit-Related Attire."
Most of my swaps will be postcards, but occasionally I will sign up for other types such as notecards, knitting/crocheting, books, etc. A little bit of variety is a good thing.
