About Me

I love books, they are my one true love. Except, I do cheat on books with gaming - especially Nintendo. I'm a bit of a geek, basically. A good book or a good game with a cup of tea is my idea of heaven. I'm introverted and a bit shy and somewhat of a recluse so it is easier for me to enjoy swaps or pen pals online than it is to actually interact with real human beings in real life. Eeek. ;-) Besides English, I'm also fluent in Polish. I'm a vegan but not the mean, scary kind - I promise! I'll only share the delicious recipes, no whole wheat, bran muffins here. :-D

I love to write snail mail and have pen pals. I like to embroider and hand sew. I collage. I like to work with beads - either to make bracelets/necklaces or for embroidery.

In terms of receiving - I love art and poetry, so anything in that category is awesome. Postcards, sharing poems, making poems, making art, interesting magazine cut outs, photographs, etc. Anything creative, interesting, unique to who you are is always special. I love discovering new things through different people. Anything fairytale is lovely too. Also, I love glitter. Like I would marry glitter and have its glitter babies. I also love tea.

We also put up our tree over the Thanksgiving weekend so I guess we are early birds too (really, it's my husband and daughter. If it was left up to me, it would probably be up closer to Christmas!) How exciting that you lived in the village! I would have loved that! Merry Christmas!

Response: Thanks for the encouragement! It's very appreciated. The book sort of crosses boundaries in the sense that it can be read as fiction (or non-fiction, depending), as both story and/or a spiritual, new age, self-help type of thing. It is very fluid in that sense, and hopefully this will come across in the work. Right now, it's a bit of a hot mess! Good luck with your strength training! It is hard to stay motivated during the holiday season, but we can do it. :-)

Comment: I hate to say it, but at times lots of alcohol during the holidays doesn't hurt! :) I too noticed that my tolerance for drinking is WAY lower when I eat mostly vegan/vegetarian. I was reading that book too - "How Not to Die" - very good! I have to finish it!
Response: Dr. Gregor has ruined eating for me, haha. Especially with his mini youtube videos where he talks about the evils of arsenic levels in rice and too high salt content in kimchi (my two loves - rice and kimchi). At least he's OK with red wine. ;-)

Response: Oh no! I'm sorry my letter got wet. I should have put it in a plastic sleeve. I'm glad everything else made it through OK. I mainly wrote a list of book recommendations for use with the bookmarks. I am glad you liked them, I was worried they might be a bit too weird in shape. :-)
