I am a single lady. No children unless you count the cat. I work in a very ordinary job that funds my personal growth work and various stashes. Gardening is something I would like to have the opportunity to enjoy more. I made a waterwise cottage garden out the front of a unit I lived in and was really proud of it, a beautiful big daisy bush, a few lavenders and a ground cover with daisy like flowers. There was also a shady spot where I tried a few violets and in spring I had pots with annuals. Im in the process of buying my first house. It is a 2 bed unit and has a garden! I can't wait! I should be able to move in just before Christmas. What a gift God/universe has given me in this opportunity.
Counted thread work such as cross-stitch, blackwork and hardhanger, ordinary embroidery some beading and a bit of patchwork and quilting. I also design & make my own clothes. I appreciate fine tailoring and am very fussy about the fit. I love buttons. I have just discovered biscornus and have finished my first one and a top.
I love 70s music the most! I am finding a few new artists that I'd like to get to know more. Mostly I listen to soft rock. I do also enjoy nature sounds sometimes.
I love to read, favourites are chick lit and those detective stories that have chefs or bakers in them. I really enjoy the food descriptions and recipes. Books with cats in them are pretty good too. Favourite authors are Elizabeth Berg, Jodie Picoult, Mary Wesley, Fannie Flagg and Katie Fforde
Sad but true - my favourite movie is Denis the Menace. It just had everything, comedy, drama, suspense. I loved The Castle so much I can quote from it. Others are Perfect World, Tea with Mussolini, Drug Store Cowboy, One Night at McCools. How to make an American Quilt. Sometimes B grade horror movies are a good pick such as Lake Placid
I got into Desperate Housewives somehow. Not usually my thing. I also enjoy most cooking and gardening shows. I do watch the crime dramas sometimes because I am sitting there stitching and that is all that is on but I'd change channels if there was a better choice
My favourite animals are: Cats, seahorses, owls, butterflies, turtles and giraffes. Favourite colours/patterns are brights, pastels and pink or blue, cottage prints. I don't really go for earthy or dull colours.
