Update: January 20, 2013
I apologize for the length in updating, but I have been tending to our daughter since her surgery. The tumor was removed Tuesday, 1/15. They believe they were able to remove the entire mass, and even hand sawed the bone to where it was attached. They did not anticipate in cutting through muscle to get to the mass, so her recovery time will be a few days longer. We were not as hopeful after a report we had on 1/8 but after the surgery, the doctor said that the mass had all of the characteristics of being benign! A definite answered prayer. We still have follow-up appointments as well as a couple more tests, but I feel that we are on the downhill slide.
Thank you friends and prayer partners for your comments, cards, and well wishes. I have been in contact with members I am resending swaps, but please let me know if I have to resend. She is taking it easy and has a few more days to recover, but we are light years ahead from last week. We have been overwhelmed with all of your kindness and encouraging words. This mamma definitely needed to hear them! Thank you!

I am still in love with the idea of snail mail. I enjoy sending as well as receiving snail mail.
I would LOVE to have pen-pals. With the craziness of my days ....nothing is more relaxing than writing a letter to an old friend, or a newly formed friend. Please message me if you would like to become pen-pals ....Thanks to a friendW, I have begun art journaling and making scrap pages of our memories..
Currently I am an Editor of a social publication, Life & Style, that I founded in 2011 and I am also a free lance writer on various topics. I enjoy pencils, pens and post-it notes. Anything pink I fall in love with and my favorite past time is photographing my two children and hubby. I love to be in the garden as well as hosting tea parties or just having family and friends over. Lemonade, white daisies, and chocolate are a weakness to me and God and church is what gives me my strength.
I look forward in making new friendships...
More about me!
I have been married for 19 years!
My favorite time of day is the early morning...
I decorate our home with pictures of our family, wall words, and I have an assortment of owls, birds, and roosters.
We survived an EF3 tornado three years ago and are still recovering with our land. Free time during the weekend includes planting new rose bushes or an occasional oak of fig tree. We truly miss our 30 plus mature pine trees.
We enjoy being outdoors and a good book is always a must. I enjoy Nicholas Sparks and Karen Kinsbury a well as leadership and Christian character building books.
My favorite foods include seafood and chicken and chocolate will always be my first choice in candy. Besides lemonade, I also enjoy flavored hot chocolates.
I enjoy celebrating special occasions with other people and I still send out traditional birthday and Christmas cards as well as random cards. Anything that can make a person's day a little brighter.
My best friend is my hubby, then my children, and my church family...but I look forward in expanding this list. I hope to see you at the mailbox..
