While extras that I can use (as per my profile) are appreciated, they do not guarantee a heart. Also, if I give a 5 without a heart, it does not automatically mean I didn't like what I received.

By the same token, I am not looking for hearts when I send extras - and I try to only send extras that I think my partner would like or can use. They are not sent to try and "get" a heart. That is totally up to the receiver to decide.
