About Me

Thank you to all my amazing partners in the Christmas stocking stuffers and gift exchanges for 2022. I loved each and every item that I received!

4/15/2023 Major life update! My youngest son and his girlfriend gave me an early Mothers Day gift, a very sweet little golden retriever puppy named Rosie. She is so precious! So I now have to get used to having a baby around the house for a while!

Hello! My name is Sharon, I've been married for 24 years and am the mom of 3 adult children, my youngest just turned 18 this past July. Born and raised in Florida..I haven’t traveled to very many places, so I love hearing about where you live! I have a few kitties that started out as feral litters that we rescued, and a handsome bearded dragon who is my daughter’s. I just love and adore all animals. I love taking pics and gardening. Watching the birds and squirrels playing in my yard..Sitting on the porch with a hot drink or cold sweet tea and someone to chat with is one of the greatest things in life! Especially when I have the birds, dragonflies, butterflies, and other wildlife all around me. I have big beautiful Southern Live Oak trees surrounding my home, with a view of the Indian River which is a block away. I feel so blessed to have all this nature around me. I'm definitely an animal and nature lover. I love being out in the sunshine and fresh air. Although I do enjoy a good summer afternoon thunderstorm. I am very spiritual in nature. I respect all beliefs and walks of life..I feel like we are all here to help each other through life, and make life a bit easier and happier for others.

I really get into and enjoy all the holidays...my favorite is Easter! Spring is my favorite season. But Halloween and Fall are also my favorite time! I love Christmas but I don’t love cold weather...at all! Good thing I’m a Floridian where cold weather doesn’t show up too much lol!

I really enjoy decorating my home with vintage items and I put a little out for each and every holiday.

Favorite Books

I love any and all history, I will read anything historical! I also love to read about paranormal and the metaphysical. Also love magazines, any food or home decorating mostly..especially decorating with Vintage, thrifted items or repurposing I love Edgar Allan Poe

I want to start collecting vintage Nancy Drew books

Interests

I am really into history, home decorating, antique shopping, cooking, baking, being out in nature, gardening, bird watching, photography, stargazing, and learning about other people and cultures. I hope to travel to Europe some day.

I believe in natural and alternative healing (along with traditional medicine)...and the power of prayer ❤️

I also love jewelry, especially vintage or vintage style. Boho, artisan, handmade. Love dangle and hoop earrings...bracelets, rings. Also I am starting to collect brooches. Also jewelry made from crystals for healing. I have lots of different crystals but I also collect other things found in nature like cool rocks and shells. I also collect coffee mugs, though I have favorites I alternate what mugs I use depending on the season and holiday. And I love to drink coffee!

I love handmade mug rugs and potholders and change them out with the seasons.

Anything related to native Americans. Two of my great grandmothers were both Native American, (Seminole and Cherokee) and I am very interested in anything and everything relating to that.

Anything from the 1982 World’s fair in Knoxville Tennessee. We went there when I was 9 years old. Every summer my family would go to the Smoky and Blue Ridge mountains. I have so many happy memories of that! It helps me feel connected to my daddy who passed in 2007, he loved the smokies. So if you live in that area, anything, even a tourist map, I’d love!

Sharon, This morning I opened 2 presents from you. The first is WIYM Advent Gifts #6,,,a most adorable squirrel that lights up and holds hand sanitizer, on a lanyard. Perfect for my office. Thank you so very much. The other present is from Advent Gifts #8. A framed picture of a female/male squirrels under an umbrella. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I placed it on our bedroom wall.
