Hi everyone. My name is Syndee, but my friends call me Syn.

I'm married to Tom, my best friend, and have been married 15 years (2gether 19). I'm a mother of 4 adult children (3 girls, ages 30, 28 and 25, and a son, age 26), and grandmother ("Mima") of 4 boys (twins Jakob & Kevin ages 8, Shaun, 5 and Gabriel). Just became mommy to a partial Bengal kitten we adopted on 6/13/12. He was found by a family at 3 weeks old hit by a car. The shelter we adopted him from nursed him to health and he's now a healthy, live-wire. Seems a Bengal breeder didn't like his white back paws, wasn't going to get $ for him, so she threw him out at 3 weeks. Most breeders don't care for the animals - they just want the money. Heartless souls.

I love coming home, throwing on my comfy clothes, and spending time in my craft room. I work as a legal assistant for a major insurance company in the legal dept (we represent the insurance company) and have been in the legal field for almost 27 years.

I always send my swaps early or a day or 2 in advance, and I always rate. I like to receive the same respect. AND PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! RATE US COORDINATORS!!!

Have become addicted to Big Bands/Swing music lately and that's all I listen to now - love Eddie Fisher's "Anytime" and Fred Astaire's "Cheek to Cheek." Classic rock; Andrea Bocelli (have you heard this man's voice???); disco (yes, I'm a 70's child); "big hair" bands (Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Scorpions, etc., etc., etc.)

CSI (the original) and CSI Miami, Seinfeld, CI channel (Crime & Investigation). Love Investigation Discovery - they're coming out with great shows - True Crime with Aphrodite Jones; Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets; etc.

Cold Case, The First 48, Extreme Forensics, Law & Order SVU and CI. Yeah, I'm a forensics addict. If I could do it over again . . .

Anything by Tami Hoag, M. William Phelps, Gregg Oslen, James Patterson, Tami Hoag, Ann Rule, Jefferson Bass and Lisa Scottoline; any true crime story book

Comedy (Wedding Singer; Knocked Up; Hear No Evil, See No Evil, plus many more); Pirates of the Caribbean (oh yeah, JOHNNY DEPP!!!); Blow, Clint Eastern westerns; thrillers (Silence of the Lambs; Fatal Attraction; Thelma & Louise, plus many more),

I've become addicted to chunky houses thanks to a swap by @debil They're now my second passion. ATCs (my PASSION!) (check out www.youratcstore.com for fab ideas and supplies), greeting cards, altered matchboxes, anything that can be altered (hosted an altered tin swap recently and had so much fun with it).. I LOVE reds/berries; silver, glitter, metallic colors; I like purple because my oldest daughter got me hooked on it when she was a toddler.

I love the scent of Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo and any baby scents, etc.; the smell of oranges; the scent of clean linen candles, sprays. Love hearts, Betty Boop, unicorns, Mermaids, stars, carousels, unicorns, fairies, angels, churub angels, Vintage stuff, Spongebob. Love anything Cupcakes!! I LOVE Ocean City, Maryland - my husband and I renewed our vows for our 10 yr. anniversary May 24, 2007 on the beach at sunset. Our 15th is coming up (May 2012) and we're going to renew our vows in Ocean City on the beach again!

I like kind hearted, caring, honest people. I'm a big Washington Capitals hockey fan. I LOVE GETTING PERSONAL HANDWRITTEN NOTES/CARDS FROM MY PARTNERS WITH THEIR SWAP. It's like getting a pen pal/swap in one.

As to foods, I love white chocolate, and choc & PB (Reese's - yum); homemade peanut butter cookies; Hershey's Kisses, Hershey's w/almonds; anything with almonds, macadamins, pecans, caramel. I love all animals, but I'm a cat mom and am partial to them.

DISLIKES:

I have a love/hate relationship with raisins. I don't like them in cookies or oatmeal, but I like them in cold cereal, Chunky Bars, and alone; mushrooms; tomatos-but I eat salsa! PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME KAIWAII, HELLO KITTY, DISNEY RELATED ITEMS. Rude, arrogant, know it alls; back stabbers; drama queens/kings; people who have children and neglect them

My children and grandsons are the most important people in the world to me. Of course, my husband is too . . . but I love my children and grandboys.

I was in a chunky house swap that @debil hosted. SHE was my partner. I sent it early, sent her 3 messages after 2 weeks of no rating, and she's NEVER responded, and I was NEVER rated. She's been partially suspended. I don't get these hostesses/coordinators who flake or don't rate.
