I find it very cathartic to create a beautiful envelope with pretty stamps, washi, or local stickers for international swaps. I enjoy trying to make something unique to the swapper I am assigned to, as well as the swap theme. I also share your love of old fashioned letters. I like exchanging postcards because they are fun to collect, yet receiving an interesting letter is always my favorite part of the swap, especially when I learn something about what life is like elsewhere. I am a Pinterest fanatic too. I have 182 boards and I add to them all the time. When I first signed up for it I thought I would just do a few boards and then be done with it. Obviously that was wrong, lol. I will check out your boards and probably follow a few. I have a dog who thinks we are her companions at her beck and call. She might be a mini dachshund but she thinks shes a junk yard dog. It was a pleasure reading your profile.
