Oh, lucky me, kids moved on, semi-retired . . . I now have time to pursue my passions - quilting, knitting, crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, soldering, any creative medium I haven't tried yet. I just can't get myself to stop making things!!! It's my therapy.
I love the story that vintage tells and collect anything old - buttons, books, bottles, jewelry, linens, china, fabric, drawer pulls, lace, dollies, dice, yardsticks, marbles, ribbon, mercury glass, worn out paint brushes, flower frogs ... (could go on forever!)
I think presentation is as important as the gift. A simple item can be adorned to impress. I love dressing up my sends and strive to make my partner swoon and sigh. Of course, I appreciate when this happens to me!
My middle name is JunkYardJezabelle . . . thrive on the hunt, the find and the ahh-ha moment when I conjure up purpose for a castoff.
Rhinestones & Glitter are my Prozac!!!
I favor anything handmade with care (made in Sri Lanka, doesn't count) for that item also tells a story. And "what one makes with their hands, one gives with their heart"
ALWAYS ACT AS IF YOU ARE WEARING AN INVISIBLE CROWN (my favorite quote)
COLORS I love REDS, BLACK, NEUTRALS
My home is decorated in RED, SHADES of BROWN, CREAM with random TARTAN PLAIDS
DO NOT LIKE blues, purples, oranges

So what do I do w/ my time? I'm blessed to live on 4 wooded acres in a ski resort town of Idaho with horses, chickens, dogs and cats. I am a volunteer fire fighter and EMT for the Wood River Valley and assist with the local handicapped equine riding program. I'm retired Delta Airlines w/ lifetime worldwide free flights which I take advantage of ALOT.
A word about swapping -
I join swaps to share of myself and to please another. What I send is representative of who I am - I always strive to be my best! I play at 110% - and expect the same in return. I want to participate with others of integrity, accountability and high standards.
I CREATE EVERY SWAP AS IF IT IS A PRESENT FOR MY BEST FRIEND!
A word about rating - I rate for the quality, care & heart put into a send. Tossing in "extra's" does not justify top rating.
IF you get me as a partner for more than one swap due on or about the same date, PLEASE DO NOT COMBINE SWAPS. It takes away the fun of receiving - each swap is special and deserves the limelight individually. I promise to do the same!
THINGS I DO NOT LIKE, please do not send - * Food or Drink of any kind (except gourmet coffee beans from your area) * Candy, Gum * Gothic or dark stuff or porn (someone did!) * Cheap stuff - nothing from the $ type stores * post-its * lip balm * cutesie stuff * earrings * note cards/paper * stickers * makeup, nail polish, lotion - no cosmetics * teacher reward or cheap stickers * tea
If you're an active swapper, I know you have been stomped on and abused (flaked on/not rated) just like me. There ARE fabulous ladies on swap-bot; I am seeking out those kindred spirits and fading out the lesser.
Thank you kindly for taking the time to read my narrative!! Hope to meet you in a special trade!
