August 17, 2009 i have suddenly and unexpectedly lost my darling husband, Keith, Aug 16th to a heart attack. i am lost right now. i don't know what to do, other than take one breath at a time. so, please forgive me if i am absent for a week or two, or late with my swaps... as soon as i can think clearly, i will contact all my partners and make arrangements for anything that may be very long overdue. thank you

I'm married to a wonderful man named Keith, and we've been married for 7 years now, woohoo! We don't have any 2-legged kids, but we do have a couple of 4-leggers... 2 cats: Ghost, who is a pretty princess, and Hunter, a big ol' fat cat. I have a ton of hobbies and interests. I adore sending and receiving random mail-- postcards, pictures and drawings, letters, stickers, anything that fits into a mailable container! i love animals, all kinds, except bugs and spiders. my hubby thinks i'm strange because i find rats, snakes and crocodiles just as cute as cats, dogs, and koalas! i like many fantasy/horror/science fiction things: fairies and unicorns, vampires, aliens, et cetera. i like buttons (like the kind you sew on clothing) and bits of fabric, lace and ribbon. i adore paper and have tons and tons of scrapbook paper, but am always on the lookout for the next cool sheet. ditto with embelishments of all kinds. if it has to do with paper, fabric, and/or thread/floss, i want it, i want to try it, and i want to look at it!

I listen to a wide variety of music, everything from classical to heavy metal, except some rap and no twangy country. In Portland, OR, where I live, I love to listen to 105.1 The Buzz, which plays stuff from the 90s and later, plus a ton of new music.

I love to read!!! I'm just coming off a Bently Little kick, and just picked up one of my all time fave books: Jurasic Park. This is probably the 6th or 7th time I've read it. I also love Robert Heinlein's young adult books (The Rolling Stones, Tunnel In The Sky, Red Planet, Have Space Suit-- Will Travel). Aside from scary stuff and science fiction, I like to read paranormal and funny romances, action/adventure, and some non-fiction. update 7/17/09 i'm halfway through rereading the Harry Potter series... midway through Goblet of Fire, woohoo!

Jurasic Park, Tremors, MIB, Serenity, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Romancing the Stone... Just like the variety I like in music and books, I'll watch a ton of categories in movies, too!

House, Bones, CSI (all of them), Supernatural, Biggest Loser, Survivor, Ghost Hunters and GH International, Dr Who, Jay Leno as the host of the Tonight Show, ER, Days of Our Lives...

ATCs, Inchies, cardmaking, cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, painting, collage... anything to do with paper and thread and fabric. I've also enjoyed doing beadwork in the past, but haven't been doing it much lately.

I really love bright colors, especially electric blue, lime green, and purple, and i think it's fun to combine them with other colors that normally don't "go" together. for example, i don't care too much for yellow, but it goes so well with purple, i put up with a bit of it! :-)

i'm a big fan of whatever YOU find interesting, fun, unusual, fantastic... well, you get the idea! i like the thought that you've looked over my profile to get ideas, that's super sweet! but don't feel afraid to let your Muse fly free! as long as what you send is something you're proud of, i'm sure i'll love it! :-)

yes, i do have 2 cats... and, yes, i do my very best to keep my beasties away from everything i make and send! i use a really big sticky roller to clean off any hairs on things that i make, and i try really hard to make sure there aren't any cat hairs in/on/glued to anything on the inside of the package... but sometimes there will be a few cat hairs stuck to the tape on the outside of the package, and i am soooo sorry about that! but Hunter especially loves to approve all incoming and outgoing mail, and may lay on the box and leave a few hairs on the edges of the tape. so be warned that a couple hairs may be stuck to the outside of the box, but there should be none on the inside! thanks :-)
