MAMMOGRAM...get one!

Hello! I am a southern girl with a sweet hubby of many years and 4 boys. My oldest is in Iraq (again) and his cute little wife and my 3 grandaughters (one is 5 and the twins are 18 months) live near Camp LeJeune. I see many trips to the NC beaches this summer! One son in college and National Guard, one son deciding about college (working and being Mr. Content)...and a 17 yo who knows everything.

UPDATE: #1 son is coming home from Iraq, due on US soil August 8 and the same day I got that news, my #2 son informed us he was being deployed to Afghanistan...

BC survivor - 14yrs - WOOHOO! I have Fibro...and I will get FOGGY...so just nudge me, or yell if you have to....lol. I am a Christian and love my life (most of the time).

I quilt a lot...I sew a lot (even more now that I have granddaughters)...and I still have a lot of rubber stamps from my card-making years ago...am getting back into it too! I do a lot of home dec and small sewing items.

I am winning in the family brackets pool so far....for the FINAL FOUR! I won it last year too...and I know ..oh so very little about college basketball.

I'm a die-hard heavy metal fan...but I really like all music...from gospel, bluegrass, jazz to Elvis and Bob Dylan, Beatles...have a hard time with country (depends on the song/singer).

When I am hand quilting...I watch 24, CSI, history channel and British comedy...EastEnders..

and I hate to admit this but my DIL found me out so I can come clean everywhere...BIG BROTHER (have watched all of them)

Love Monty Python...old Bette Davis, actually all old movies (The Women is divine), most Stephen King...and musicals too, Absolutely Fabulous, Graham Norton, Masterpiece (mystery)....

Love flea markets, thrift stores, clearance racks and yard sales!...and I have the 'junk' to prove it!

My kitchen is decorated with red plus whatever color I want for the season....well, there is red in every room of the house but my son's rooms. Love teals and blues and greens...purples, pinks, reds...don't hate any color!

My decorating style would probably be eclectic...I change things to make them what I want...not Victorian, not country, not modern...just a middle something...and always a 'work in progress'.

I LIKE sewing, crafting, cooking, aprons, dark chocolate, kitchen stuff,

glam girl stuff (I am NOT too old), coffee, tea, silver jewelry, hairbands, M&M's,

fabric (of course), vintage patterns, rick rack, fridge magnets, handmade soaps, thread,

cleaning tips, Snoopy, any Dr. Seuss, pictures of churches and chapels, Dorothy Parker,

Nestle Quik and Velveeta cheese, dark chocolate and super dark chocolate, choco coffee bean,

retro 20's to 60's, lapis lazuli (stone), art deco style.

I am trying to buy US made items unless not at all possible.

I DO NOT like

snail/slugs, gardening (dirt), cleaning house, or grown-ups who talk about buggers, or men who call girls 'dude', scrapbooking,

no Hello kitty and similar cutesy stuff,

no flavored coffees or teas,

no kind of fruit or chewy candy,

no Disney,

no stickers
