Also, I discovered for one diabetic I know, I know this sugar "substitute" called ZSweet. Its about 70% as sweet as sugar. It comes from some plant but doesn't taste like liquorice like that other one does. Anyway, its pretty expensive at wholefoods, but you can get it on line. I managed to make a form of toffee with it and it came out pretty good (considering I overdid it on the butter!) https://zsweet.alice.com/
