Hi there! I live in Nashville, Tennessee though I mostly grew up in Florida (Gators!) and have lived lots of different places. Right now I pay the bills by teaching middle school. This year I'm teaching 8th grade math after teaching language arts for the last few years. One of my biggest hobbies is Muay Thai kickboxing. My current record is 5-0 and I've even won an amateur title belt. I'm currently on a hiatus though due to having ACL surgery back in July. I plan to be back in the ring as soon as possible! :)

I'm really passionate about a lot of different things. One of the biggest would be Great Fox Farm -- an organic farm that I started last year with my fiance. My hope is to eventually stop teaching and buy land in the next 3-4 years and switch to farming and running a CSA full-time. I'm also really committed to being vegan and helping animals whenever I can. I live with my fiance and our three awesome cats (Trogdor, Sherman, and Roscoe) as well as an albino corn snake named Kosh. We volunteer locally at Nashville Cat Rescue trying to help other kitties find forever homes.

Being active is a big part of my life. Besides kickboxing, I really like running and hiking. I've run a few 5Ks over the last few years and am hoping to work up to a 10K next. I also like to bike and do yoga, though I am not nearly as flexible as I want to be! I played volleyball for five years in school and I still love to find a good game.

I am an avid reader and normally devour 100 or so books per year. I love live music and try to go to shows as often as possible. If "Trouble" wasn't already my middle name, then it would be "Wanderlust" as I love to travel and am always trying to plan my next trip. Besides working on different mail art projects, I knit, paint, draw, do pottery, do stained glass, carve blockprints, make zines, write letters, sew, and quilt. I get hooked on learning new crafts very easily and am constantly bouncing from one project to the next.

Every year, I have a knitting club at school and teach as many 8th grade boys and girls to knit as I possibly can, but many of them can't afford supplies. If you have needles or yarn that you don't want, please let me know! They don't have to be fancy -- aluminum needles and acrylic yarn are fine!!! Thanks =)
