ATTENTION::If you're waiting to receive a package from me, I WILL get it sent out soon if I haven't already. I just have a couple more packages to catch up on. Not to excuse my tardiness, but to explain: finals week threw me off and I wasn't smart enough to check all the swap dates against my school calendar..smacks forehead Anyway, I apologize and I'll get everything out ASAP. Thanks for your patience!
I'm game for private swaps if anyone else is interested. :] I'm 20 and a fine arts major in college. According to Facebook, I will probably one day be living in a box. But if I become a starving artist, at least I'll have fun while I starve! =] I love rainbows (and bright colors), hearts, stars, shoes, cute animals, bookstore/coffee shops (together or separately), Disney princesses (and everything else Disney), traveling to new places, and chocolate. When I have time (ha! whatever) I play guitar. I'm a book nerd (once I read 380-some novels in a year) and I collect Chuck Norris jokes. I love all things Elvis. If you send me something Elvis, I will love you forever. I love Italian food and I'd looooooove to travel all over Europe someday and possibly live there. I would like to be a vegetarian someday but I'm currently not allowed (!). I'm becoming the kind of person I want to be. I'm spiritual but not religious, and learning how to live by Christ's teachings. I prefer to either make things myself or support small businesses and artists instead of handing money to major corporations and name brands. My parents call me a hippie/beatnik/flower child and I'm regularly informed I was born in the wrong decade. I want to learn a ton of languages. I'm a feminist and a Democrat, and Etsy makes the world go round...
Elvis Presley's my favorite. I'm also in love with Dean Martin. Herman's Hermits, the Hardy Boys, Leslie Gore, Bobby Darin..= love! I love to listen to oldies, rock, pop, 80s (ooh, Richard Marx!), New Orleans-style jazz, classical (especially violin), bluegrass, techno, Disney Channel-esque music (Jonas Brothers, Ashley Tisdale, B5, and so on), Latin + other world music (French, Italian, Greek..) and almost ANYthing indie/folk. :] I LOVE vinyl! etc/etc/etc
I absolutely love antique/used books. Dr. Seuss (especially "What Was I Scared Of?" hahahha) Classics like Dracula and Pride & Prejudice. And picture books. And poetry (ee cummings, WH Auden). Books by MT Anderson, Daphne du Maurier. Peter Pan, A Great & Terrible Beauty, Curious George, Fancy Nancy, The Robbery at the Diamond Dog Diner, and of course all the craft and photography books I can get my hands on. I collect foreign language books. I'd love some Gothic Lolita Bibles..
MOVIES::Any and every Disney classic. Pixar movies. Nancy Drew, the Ultimate Gift, Chestnut, the Sound of Music, the Princess Diaries, the Princess Bride, Princess of Thieves. Luther. Bridge to Terabithia. I love old Alfred Hitchcock movies. And..The Bad Seed! ----------------------------------------- TELEVISION::My FAVORITES are Punky Brewster, Full House, Cosby..I Love Lucy, the Munsters, Leave It to Beaver, the Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, I Dream of Jeannie, and so on and so on..=) Current shows I enjoy: Extreme Makeover:Home Edition, and random Disney Channel shows, such as Phil of the Future and Hannah Montana.
Plush & softies, altered books, collage, SLR photography, blankets, handmade cards, hair accessories and jewelry, purses and bags, clothes. Folding paper cranes..in a million years, I'll have a thousand. Hahaha. Pottery/sewing/crochet/painting/beading/etc/etc/etc. I'm an art student, I love trying new media and I'm up for anything. =) I like to recraft all kinds of things (clothes, costume jewelry, paper..)
Surprises =) Happy things. Mermaids. Fairies (not dark ones..)Big plastic jewelry. Legos. Unicorns, sea monsters, weird animals, pirates, treasure maps. Sketchbooks, paintbrushes, charcoal. Peace, mysterious abandoned buildings, absurdities, cemetaries, gumball machines. SweeTarts, trick or treating, homemade popcorn, Sanrio, Tokidoki, unusual shoes. Gummy bears (especially clear ones or chocolate-covered, haha), Nerds, sour Icebreakers. Camera film of all sorts. Toys/music/pop culture from when I was little (i.e. Rainbow Brite, Popples, Potato Head Kids), NPR. Dress patterns from the 50s and 60s. Poetry, art supplies (crayons/charcoal/pastels/paint/sewing notions/anything I can stick on a collage), fruit, holidays, anything cute. "Truly Me" perfume by American Girl. Hair clips. Magazines (Real Simple, fashion magazines, J14, decorating magazines, Ty Pennington's magazine). Sparkly things (diamonds, haha, glitter..) I'm OBSESSED with lip gloss. Shells, starfish, mushrooms (ok, mushroom images), fairies, yarn, fabric, holidays..Saturn...
Coffee. Waking up early. Banana candy flavor, most rap, the color olive green. Designer labels (from Dior and Chanel to American Eagle and Hollister). Preppy clothes. Hot dogs. Harry Potter. Annoying alarm clocks =) Papercuts. Math. Sometimes I dislike the color gold, sometimes I like it..Broccoli, squash, zucchini. Mushrooms for food. Bad grammar/punctuation/spelling.
Google a picture of Punky Brewster, and that's what I dress like. Or sometimes I wear classic lolita. Or sometimes "scene", haha. My "look" changes drastically, depending on my mood. I love mismatched earrings and mismatched socks. I'm generally anti-designer-label..or else I'll rip the label off and make a new one with my name on it and sew it on. I don't believe anyone should try to tell someone else what they should look like or dress like. Stores I find a lot of love-worthy outfits in include: dELiA*s, Forever 21, Hot Topic, Charlotte Russe, JC Penney, www.fredflare.com, www.80stees.com, and random thrift stores/flea markets. If it's vintage, I'm in! I also think it's hilariously fun to take a previously-existing article of clothing and recreate it into something I would actually wear. And, of course, I like to make my own dream clothes from scratch.
Jesus Christ, Mother Teresa, Disney movies, Elvis Presley, SARK, Sheila Walsh, Lynn Rowe Reed, Etsy, Eric Carle, Eugene Peterson, Patsy Clairmont, Thelma Wells, Chuck Norris (hahahha), Marilyn Meberg, Punky Brewster, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Cute Overload, Luci Swindoll, many many MANNNYYYY fictional characters, and this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z02ox6ttIjg
