Wahooo! Only 298 more hearts to hit 500!! I better get swapping!!

HELLO to all my SB friends! I am Darcilena Deanne but many know me by Arty Darss on Flickr!! I have been here 2 years come August! Wow, how time flew by! I really enjoy meeting new people and swapping things all over our earth! I'm very eager to swap with those Swappers that put alot of "time" and effort in their work. Effort and care in ones "ART" is really key. I like to create Art that inspires others to "Think Outside the Box!" I just want to mention that part of taking pride in your art is making sure the back also looks nice. I have been getting Atc's that people are not even trying on front or back and the backs on many are horrendous to say the least! I know not everyone has a nice Atc stamp to use but please have a nice clean paper glued on the back of your atc over all the folded edges of ripped papers or fibers and write the atc info on neatly!! I will no longer be giving hearts for poor, sloppy work as I feel if you want to trade your art, then it should at least be neat! I do love to send extras b/c I just love to go thru all my piles of stuff and give someone a good mail day! Sharing makes my life a Happy place! ;) I sometimes choose to just send the swap b/c I am short on time or have many swaps to get out at the same time!! If you feel I have not sent a "Fab Swap" then please e-mail me and I will make it right. I try to always earn a Heart and give my best work, sometimes life just gets in the way or I am under the weather and it just isn't the "best art week" for creating or inspiration so just let me know b/c I have no problems re-sending.

I especially "LOVE" setting up and doing Private swaps and have many swappy pals on Swap bot and Flickr now and a few on Yahoo and I just ADORE them all!. Lately, I find myself going back to my old loves and one would surely be Collage Art and Distressing! My new loves are Paris & Vintage Themed package swaps, Steampunk and Somerset Style! Tim Holtz has surely sparked a "New Desire" in me to create outside the Box! (and I love that) and all his new product lines!! can't ever seem to buy enough TH goodies! I justify it by sharing with all my FAB Swappy pals.

I started doing hand~made cards years ago and have taught tons of various paper art classes over the last 10 years to adults,children and teens. The past 10 years have taken up my time with Scrapbooking and some ATC's. However, I have given up on the scrapbooking (since Dec/10) since finding SBot. There are just not enough hours in a day to do ALL the paper crafts I love! LOL!

I now spend "Hours" creating & trading my ATC's, Altered ART, Journals and Tags! I do Love Lucky Parcels & Rolo's,too. I work hard to give you my A+ work ~ Always. ATC's amaze me as do altered art pieces. I also find old jewelery and love to make NEW creations!

I am a very busy, married mom of 2 and will soon be on my 16th year of marriage! Wahoo!

I am "OVERJOYED" at finding this site since people also get rated and I "LOVE" the hearts! Something to "Always" strive for!!! You just can't receive enough Hearts!! I Just "Love" them!

I guess I should say what I like where "SWAPPING" is concerned.

Anyhoo... LOVE hand made paper, paper created with TH techniques, dry embossed, stamped and Glossy accents! My new technique, foiled tape!! I love Jolees and high quality stickers with these themes: Nature, Cherry blossoms, Spring, Vintage, Asian, Paris,London,Rome & dragonflies! I guess I'm a "Bling Girl" all the way but done in "good" taste. Not Stickles globbed all over or Mondo rhinestones! LOL! I love the old Vintage PC's, Clocks, GEARS and old watch faces. I love Vintage portraits like Ophelia etc. and I guess I love Rosetti, too!!

I love papers such as cork, flocked, stitched, embossed etc. animal textures. Anything with a Whimsical feel,too! I love Flourished designs!

"ADDIE labels!" I really need some since I lost the program I had to make my own. (Instant heart)

Things "I DO NOT LIKE": "CLOWNS/Gnomes" of any kind! religious themed (tho I like scripture stickers), Dark themes or dark fairies! Anything eerie or creepy, like insects, scorpions. No kidsy cartoon characters, NO KWAI or Reward stickers. Don't care for BABY pink, or bright greens (Kelly Green), pastels or NEONS! Don't like Primary colors. Exceptions would be red on Asian or Christmas themed cards. I'd would prefer a photo on my atc's rather than just colored background from a poor marker. I don't care for pictures of animals ie: baby horses, puppies Or reg fish like dolphins, whales and the like.Hope that helps a little in your choices. I look so forward to Swapping with you ALL!

I will "ALWAYS" send out my swaps, even if I am sick etc. Sometimes swaps land on a SAT or Sunday so my PO usually post marks then for Monday. I ALWAYS "Rate" my swaps (IF I know who sent them...some have no return addie or details) so if I some how didn't rate you please PM me and I'll do it asap! (If your item has arrived! Some swaps from the US are taking 3-5 weeks, I know ~ unreal! I get my Australian swaps faster than US ones! Go figure!

I haven't given a 3 yet but have "felt" I should have. I will give a "3" if you color an atc back with a marker, cut out a pic all crooked from the newspaper and glue it on with crappy glue!! I can't even count the cards I have gotten that are made this way and my girl in grade 4 says, Are you trading with kindergardeners?? So Please take some time and effort in your art.

Oh and most importantly. I think each swap deserves my Very Best Efforts ever so please PM me asap if you are not 100% satisfied and I will gladly re-send your swap.
