About Me

I am a full-time Americorps volunteer working as a tutor and mentor to high school students on the West Side of Chicago. My life's passion is to continue working in urban education on college access issues in the Midwest.

Books: In my free time, I love to read almost anything but most especially historical fiction, young adult lit and education policy books. A good chick lit read every once in a while also helps me relax. :)

Movies: I will watch almost anything once but love all things Disney related and most musicals. Ones I could watch over and over again? Hook, A Little Princess, A Knight's Tale to name a few...

Music: The music I enjoy most is just about as eclectic as my taste in books and movies! I am always looking for new female and/or hip-hop artists to take a listen to.

Food: Green/herbal teas, dark chocolate, Oreos

Postcards: Interesting photos, art, vintage, black and white
