MY MAIL WAS RECENTLY STOLEN (July 20th, 2018 for sure, other dates suspected.) I don’t know what was in the box, but I came home and it was open and empty. Unfortunately this is not uncommon in my town and has happened to me once before. I am looking into getting a locking mail box or PO box to prevent future problems. If you sent me a swap and are waiting for me to rate you, please let me know!
I have been lucky so far that no issues have arisen with any of my sent swaps. However, if something does go wrong and you don't receive a swap from me, PLEASE let me know and I will happily re-send! I am loving swap bot and I want everyone to receive and enjoy the swaps I send!
If there are any issues or concerns at all with any of my swaps please let me know and I will work hard to make it right!
Please feel free to contact me about private swaps!
My name is Dakota and I live in the southwestern US. I moved around a lot growing up, but landed here and here I will stay! I live with my husband Thomas (married June 2016) and our pup Westley. He's a 1.5 year old Blue Heeler (AKA Australian Cattle Dog) and he's named after the Dread Pirate Roberts from the movie The Princess Bride. We are working on his reactivity issues but he really is just the sweetest dog alive!
Aside from crafting, I am passionate about many things! First and foremost I am passionate about American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. I am an ASL interpreter and learning more every day! I also love to read, as you will probably gather from my "Favorite Books" blurb below. We also love camping! Although it is a relatively new hobby we hope to spend as many weekends camping as physically possible. Westley loves to hike and camp with us as well!
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Fired Up, Frantic, and Freaked Out by Laura Baugh
I am an avid reader (and serial re-reader) and my favorite genres are fantasy and science fiction! I also read a lot of contemporary fiction, historical novels, and narrative non-fiction. I am trying to read more classic fiction as well!
I worked in bookstores throughout college and I can't ever seem to have enough books. I usually have several books going at once - usually one audiobook for my commute, one "home book" in paper that stays at my house, and one ebook that goes everywhere with me on my Nook.
I am always up for trying out new books recommended by penpals and other friends! If you suggest something it might take me a while to read it but I will eventually, and then we can talk about it!
Supernatural - my mom (badass breast cancer survivor) is a HUGE fan and if you want to send something for her I will love you forever
Breaking Bad - I have several Breaking Bad postcards bought at the car wash where the main character works in the show. Let me know if you’re a fan and we can definitely swap!
