Hi! I'm Cheryl from Plainfield, IL. I'm a huge Chicago Blackhawks hockey fan, my husband and I enjoy attending games, going to the annual Blackhawks Convention in Chicago and traveling to away games when possible (usually once per season). We don't have any kids, but we visit our nieces often and enjoy spending time with family. We don't have any pets at this time, but we are looking to adopt a shelter/rescue dog again.
I am Christian and would say the term "Christian Left" is where I lean. No judgement to others beliefs or political stances.
I am a Social Worker and my focus is helping adults with severe mental illness live independently in the community. My motto (acquired from Pinterest): "Love thy Neighbor....No Exceptions!"
I love all things postal, snail mail and mail art. I'm not sure what I enjoy most...sending mail or receiving mail 💌
I enjoy visiting central Wisconsin and I â¤ï¸Cheese!
One of my simple joys is stumbling upon an interesting quote. Sometimes just watching tv, listening to the radio or reading a book can lead to the surprise of a quote that moves you. For some odd reason, I especially like very odd/obscure quotes, lines from movies and music lyrics. If you have any favorites please pass them along.

I'm kind of a couch potato....
Some of my favorite shows.... The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, The Middle, Orphan Black, Mr. Robot, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Bob's Burgers, General Hospital, Everbody Loves Raymond (recently found this show in late 2017, I must have been under a rock the last 20 years!) and Outlander.
I'm currently hooked on the classic game show channel BUZZR.....favorite classic game shows: To Tell the Truth, Tattletales, Family Feud hosted by Richard Dawson
I love great movies.....I finally completed my bucket list of watching the AFA Top 100 movies of all time. I really enjoy Buster Keaton, Cary Grant, Shirley Temple and Jimmy Stewart movies. I love 1950's-1960's Disney movies. Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter.
I also like silly movies that are ridiculous and make me laugh (over and over): Step Brothers, Office Space, Rat Race, Elf, Tropic Thunder, The Great Outdoors
I love to read. But I have difficulty setting time aside to read. I do enjoy listening to books on CD during my daily commute. When listening I prefer non-fiction, memoirs and sociology. When I read-read I prefer mystery, suspense and literary fiction.
I wouldn't say I have favorite authors, I like variety so I just read what seems interesting.
