About Me

UPDATE: I'm looking for partners for private "send postcard back" swap.I have tons of blank postcards I would love to come back to me written and stamped. I used to do this swap with a swappers from Korea and New Zealand. Usually we would send 1 or 2 postcards to be sent back and 1 for the partner to keep. If you're interested - send me PM, please.

Hello. my name is Ksenia. =^x^=

I was born in Russia, Moscow. When I was 14 my family moved to Israel. Currently I live in Tel Aviv. (I speak Hebrew, Russian and English) I am a painter / IT operator. I have BFA in Arts from Bazalel Academy of Art and Design. I love painting and drawing a lot, but I like my job too. Once I thought computers and art have nothing in common. Now I know it's not true.

I have very very eclectic taste... I enjoy contemporary art, urban culture and character design. When I'm traveling aboard I will go to at least 10-15 galleries and all of the museums. I'm a big fashion geek... (My favorites: Red Valentino, Ulyana Sergeenko, Meadham Kirchhoff and Orla Kiely) I'm crazy about shoes! I love all kind of music: pop, j-pop, j-rock, indie, folk, goth and metal. All together! but not classics... Currently most played: Elliphant, LP, Teagan & Sara, Beatrice Eli, Zella Day and Noonie Bao. Last live gig I went to and loved: Lola Marsh.

I love to cook! I like Japanese, Chines, Indian, Mexican and French foods. ( I'm not so much into baking thought) I could live on Eggs and Sushi... I love Strawberries and drink my Tea with Soy Milk. I adore Oysters and love any sort of raw fish dishes. My latest food-addiction: soy milk based cappuccino and bacon&egg salad sandwich

I read mostly fantasy books and watch SiFi movies and TV shows. I love comedies and romantic dramas.

  • Last book I loved: Shadows in Time by Julie McElwain

  • Last TV show I loved: Lucifer season 5, The Expanse (re-watch), The Witcher (re-watch)

  • Last movie I really enjoyed: big screen - Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) ; TV - Fast and Furious franchise (re-watch); Netflix - Old Guard

  • Stuff I am obsessed with right now: going for a walk every day. I do between 6 to 10 km a day.

I love opera and ballet.

I go to Zoos a lot! I love pandas and lemurs :)

Kawaii - is state of mind! I adore Japanese street fashion and I'm in love with Japanese products and sweets.

I collect Christmas ornaments. I have 362 of all kind: store-bought, hand-made, vintage; they come from more than 20 different countries. I always open for more... :)

Oour poor Kitty, left us for a better place. RIP sweet pushosh, we loved you so so much!

We have a new furry friend - his name is Soni. He is a cute rescue sweetie (his previous owner left him for reason unknown at the animal shelter when he was 9 months old...) Now he lives with me. And he is the sweetest kitty I ever honer to meet.

I like anime and cosplay; for every con at which I and my partner have our Steampunk goodies stall (and especially) for Purim I make one adorable (or NOT) character; one I can relate to. My last cosplay was Emily the Strange

Previous cosplays: Angel Crawfordfrom White Trash Xombie series , The Stalk from Saga graphic novel. Also last autumn I re-imagined my Delirium cosplay. It was the best version so far. ( Past ones : Daria from the 90's MTV animated series, Silent Hill Nurse, Nadia from First Squad, Pino from Ergo Proxy, Konata Izumi from Lucky Star, Dejiko from Di Gi Charat, Chii from Chobits, Delirium from Sandman)

I'm addicted to GoodReads...

=^x^=

I really like to do private swaps, if you're interested - please don't be shy :)

=^x^=

  • IMPORTANT: I will always always sent my swaps. Israeli post works as best as it can, but it may take time. If anything goes wrong - please contact me! Also I will always rate you and give you my heart. Anyone who invests in - some thought and creativity with regard to ones preferences - deserves it.

Comment: Thanks for sharing. :) It can be really tricky to get started with keeping lists and statistics. I take pictures because it's easy, but still forget to mark things off or loose track of books over the year. Hopefully, it will be a good experience for you, though, and you'll get to read a bunch of great books you already have on hand! :)

Comment: Thanks for joining the swap! I'm glad to see I'm not the only M/M romance reader! I love Rhys Ford's Hellsinger, which it appears might never have a third book, grr, and Cole McGinnis series, I'm on book #2, I tend to prefer contemporary M/M romance to fantasy.urban fantasy M/M romance.

Comment: Lol, when I saw the trailer to The Old Guard, I immediately recognized a Belgian actor. Sebastian is played by Matthias Schoenaerts. I didn't expect to see that. ^_^ Much ado about nothing, seems like a great movie too. I placed it on my to-watchlist on imdb. I hope all is well there in Israel. I've heard there's finally a bit of hope with the vaccination campaign. :) Thanks for sharing.

I think I like the idea of Poe more than actually reading his stories--"Murders in the Rue Morgue" still gives me shivers.

Anyway, thanks for joining my swap! ❤️️💀

Greetings from Japan. August Halloween is here! Yay!

“I think if human beings had genuine courage, they'd wear their costumes every day of the year, not just on Halloween.” ― Douglas Coupland, The Gum Thief
