About Me

update 02/04 - I have my first 3, after 6 years of swapping. The justification of the rating is debatable... But it is, what it is. I went through hell in the last 2 months at work (was ill 32 times since January, because my body can't continue working 12 hours a day, while working on my art at spare time.) This was 2 day profile quote swap, that I signed long time before things got uneasy. Yes, I was late. yes I didn't send PM, I just explained I was late in the same profile comment as the swap itself. Things were collapsing at work (literally). I worked 17 hours that day, went home to sleep a bit and in a few hours went back to work to replace my boss who spent 36 hours without sleep. Eventually I took few minutes to complete the swap, and I got a few unpleasant words from my boss for that. Believe me sending additional personal explanation was out of question. And than I got ill. Funny thing is that 4 other, more experienced, partners were much more understanding, because as much fun swap-bot can be, it is still less important than real life.

UPDATE: I'm looking for partners for private "send postcard back" swap.I have tons of blank postcards I would love to come back to me written and stamped. I used to do this swap with a swappers from Korea and New Zealand. Usually we would send 1 or 2 postcards to be sent back and 1 for the partner to keep. If you're interested - send me PM, please.

Hello. my name is Ksenia. =^x^=

I was born in Russia, Moscow. When I was 14 my family moved to Israel. Currently I live in Tel Aviv. (I speak Hebrew, Russian and English) I am a painter / IT operator. I have BFA in Arts from Bazalel Academy of Art and Design. I love painting and drawing a lot, but I like my job too. Once I thought computers and art have nothing in common. Now I know it's not true.

I have very very eclectic taste... I enjoy contemporary art, urban culture and character design. When I'm traveling aboard I will go to at least 10-15 galleries and all of the museums. I'm a big fashion geek... (My favorites: Red Valentino, Ulyana Sergeenko, Meadham Kirchhoff and Orla Kiely) I'm crazy about shoes! I love all kind of music: pop, j-pop, j-rock, indie, folk, goth and metal. All together! but not classics... Currently most played: Within Temptation, The Pierces, Kyla La Grange and LP. Last live gig I went to and loved: LP.

I love to cook! I like Japanese, Chines, Indian, Mexican and French foods. ( I'm not so much into baking thought) I could live on Eggs and Sushi... I love Strawberries and drink my Tea with Soy Milk. I adore Oysters and love any sort of raw fish dishes. My latest food-addiction: soy milk based cappuccino and hamburgers.

I read mostly fantasy books and watch SiFi movies and TV shows. I love comedies and romantic dramas.

  • Last book I loved: Wolfsong by T.J. Klune

  • Last TV show I loved: Lucifer (can't believe it's 3 weeks till the next episode...)

  • Last movie I really enjoyed: big screen - Cherchez La Femme, TV - Thor: Ragnarok.

  • Stuff I am obsessed with right now: This guy

I love opera and ballet.

I go to Zoos a lot! I love pandas and lemurs :)

Kawaii - is state of mind! I adore Japanese street fashion and I'm in love with Japanese products and sweets.

I collect Christmas ornaments. I have 349 of all kind: store-bought, hand-made, vintage; they come from more than 20 different countries. I always open for more... :)

Oour poor Kitty, left us for a better place. RIP sweet pushosh, we loved you so so much!

We have a new furry friend - his name is Soni. He is a cute rescue sweetie (his previous owner left him for reason unknown at the animal shelter when he was 9 months old...) Now he lives with me. And he is the sweetest kitty I ever honer to meet.

I like anime and cosplay; for every con at which me and my partner have our Steampunk goodies stall (and especially) for Purim I make one adorable (or NOT) character; one I can relate to. This year's Purim was spent as Angel Crawford from . At the latest Sci-Fi con during Passover I made The Stalk from Saga graphic novel. Also last autumn I re-imagined my Delirium cosplay. It was the best version so far. ( Past ones : Daria from the 90's MTV animated series, Silent Hill Nurse, Nadia from First Squad, Pino from Ergo Proxy, Konata Izumi from Lucky Star, Dejiko from Di Gi Charat, Chii from Chobits, Delirium from Sandman)

I'm addicted to GoodReads...

Comment: That's a bummer that this first book in a new series wasn't the greatest opener. Maybe book two or later will be better? Do you plan to read more in this series? Maybe this is a book that will be better if you reread it after reading further into the series? (Kate Daniels' book one was like that for me.) Great review, though, Ksenia, thank you for sharing!

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Poohtat on Mar 16, 2018:

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.” ― Henri J.M.
