My name's Kathryn and I'm 18 years old. I'm a university student studying to become an elementary school teacher. I have a very obsessive personality and have more interests than I can list, but my most prominent ones are sci-fi, music, video games, reading, and just creating. I'm not the most artistic person, but I love creating and I always put a lot of effort into all my endeavours.

I am passionate about music, and I love all sorts. My favourite band hands down is Evanescence, but I love I:Scintilla, Lacuna Coil, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Metric, Chevelle, Emilie Autumn, Disturbed, Neko Case, The Creepshow, The Birthday Massacre, Fireflight, Garbage, Mindless Self Indulgence, Paramore, and so much more, but I'm going to stop now before I write too much.

Right now my favourite authors are James Patterson and Jodi Picoult, but my reading interests change a lot. A few of my all time favourite books are the Ender's Game Saga by Orson Scott Card, Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, and if you count comic books as a book, which, the words in there, then I'm a huge fan of Marvel's Runaways.

I am a huge fan of television, my favourite tv series of all time is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I also love things like Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Space: Above and Beyond, Bones, Angel, Tru Calling, Terminator: SCC (why'd it have to be cancelled!!!!) and Dollhouse. See a trend? If you don't it's Joss Whedon, he is incredible. In addition, I guess anime and cartoons are television in some senses, so this includes Delta State, Escaflowne, and Sailor Moon.

I'm not sure if I'd say I have a favourite craft, I just love trying new things. I love drawing and painting, and making collages, and I'm learning to knit this summer, and I really love just building things. Mostly I like to experiment.

I love video games and I'm a huge fan of everything playstation or square enix (i.e FFVII). I have this strange attraction to Kaleidoscopes, they're just so cool. I love writing poetry and short stories, and I'm an avid photographer. I have a Pentax *ist DL. I like anime, but my anime interests change pretty rapidly, my most consistent anime interest is D.Gray-Man. And lastly, I love the sport Ultimate Frisbee.

Toy Story & Pixar movies in general, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Princess Bride, Random Cartoon Musicals like Cats Don't Dance and Rock-A-Doodle, other musicals like Across the Universe, the Karate Kid movies (I even like the crappy fourth one with Hilary Swank), Girl Interrupted, Donnie Darko, Tekkonkinkreet, all Miyazaki films, and Final Fantasy: Advent Children. (Plus more, but, you know these are my most favourite.)

Likes - hippos - barrel of monkeys - pagan things - red & black - purple & orange - my country (CANADA!!!) - VW Buses - anything fun and colourful - steampunk - webcomics (like Penny Arcade and Ctrl+Alt+Del) - cooking, especially new and exciting asian foods - gothic things

Dislikes - pink & yellow, fine in very very small doses, but otherwise, worst colours ever (no offense) - anything too girly, like make-up & purses and you know...stuff like that, yeah, I'm so ungirly I don't even know what's girly - reality tv, man, it drives me crazy - um, I dunno, I'm a fan of most everything!!!
