I have four fury beasts, one husband, a love of Asia and so little time.I am also really into flowers. I enjoy putting together unique flower combinations. Working with flowers makes me feel calm and content.
I also crochet and felt more these days. I love yarn, especially handspun art yarns. I adore any yarn that is natural and made with love. Yarns that are organic are especially appealing to me.
I am also very into Asian themed arts and crafts. I have always enjoyed checking out items from other countries and I think since I lived overseas for many years this is even more so true for me now. I enjoy working with handmade paper and use quite abit of it in my work. I create lamps, vases, boxes etc...using hanji. (which means korean paper)
I am not really into candy, although if it is from another country I am. I also enjoy organic chocolate.
I enjoy receiving mail and swapping on swap-bot and I am happy to receive surprises and packages that have been decorated with mail art. I am also happy to receive practical items, things that are useful and that I can use in my art in a unique manner.
My household is pretty much exclusively organic-food, cleaning supplies etc...I try and buy locally produced organically grown food but I am not bugged out if I can't always do this. I try and shop at small owner operated places but I also love bargins-so sometimes I feel conflicted. I am originally from Toronto, Canada but I live in Northern California now.
Anything that my husband turns me onto.Alternative stuff, world, new age among others.I adore live concerts and out-of-the-way venues that sponsor new, exciting bands.
So many favourites but anything non-mainstream usually works for me.
T.V who has time...but anything to do with crime works in our homestead.Law&Order marathons go over big, but honestly, I feel that watching T.V. is a drain on my time-so I really limit the amount of T.V. I watch.
Let me list the many crafts that I do that reduce the funds in my pocketbook in the name of ART! 1.crochet 2.fiber arts 3.mixed media/collage 4.rubberstamp art 5.mailart 6.soap making 7.visual journaling 8.bookmaking 9.hanji... a few among many....
