TO MY OVERSEAS SWAP PARTNERS I often opt for surface mail because of postage cost. It may take more than 2 weeks. Mail can get really weird. A mail took 9 days to reach Belgium. Once, two packages to USA took months (literally). One to UK took over a month. All I'm asking is for your patience! Thank you!

I'm turning 19 in September 20th (Virgo), currently taking diploma in Visual Communications (Graphic Design & Advertising). Generally, I like art-related stuff, photography, music, film and good reads.
Since I'm in a design school, I can't predict when I'll get really busy because art is a funny thing, y'know? But I try to manage and balance out my time :) I'm sorry if I ever mail your swap out late, I'd be sure to inform you but I hope you understand that school is my 1st priority.

I like learning about new cultures, languages, religions, etc. Living in a multi-racial country made me very tolerant and patient towards others. I am also in an interracial relationship. I'm Chinese, a free-thinker, raised by a Buddhist family and studied in Methodist schools for 14 years. My beau is Indian Muslim, and if we marry, I'll have to convert to Islam.
Recently, I became a mommy to 2 kittens - Susu (black & white; male) and Koi (orange & black & white; female). They're my first pets in years, and my first cats! Donate some cat toys to them!!!
In my free time, I watch movies, shop online, listen to music and blog.

Ahhh...i did indeed go back and check the descriptions on your photos, wasn't a criticism by the way, i found it interesting and yeah, i was waaay off the mark with eg. the bamboo. Not sure what i thought it was, though hehe. Thanks, anyway :)

Let me know if you don't get the candy. I know how important it is to receive something nice in the mail, whether it's a card or letter or just something! You should see people's faces light up all day long. This is such a wonderful job.
Have you tried Global priority mail? It may be pretty spendy, but I know there is a flat rate envelope that you can mail up to 4 pounds in (if it fits). I know surface mail to a country overseas means surface, as in boat, as in when the container is full , it goes on the boat. However long all that stuff takes, then it goes by truck after that. That's why it is so darn slow.
Believe me, surface mail from the states to Hawaii is not recommended due to the length of time (can take up to 6 weeks).
So try to find light things if you can and mail air mail if at all possible.

I just joined today and saw your comment about Reese's. What a shame! We have tons here and they are not my fave (although I love those tastes separately). I work for the US Post Office (I am a Postmaster). Let me know if you don't receive any.
