I'm 33 years old, newly and happily divorced, no kids, 4 dogs, a dozen geckos, 2 birds, and some fish.

I raise Crested Geckos that have these beautiful 'eyelash' formations on them. They are gentle, friendly and they don't stink. I have a lot of eggs incubating right now and 4 little hatchlings already in my brood. So exciting!

I do search and rescue with 2 of my German Shepherds on a non profit team. They find lost and missing people. We find people every week in our training sessions, but we have not had any true emergency call outs from law enforcement yet. It's pretty rewarding but also a lot of hard work, bug bites, and sweat.

I work in IT to pay the bills, but it's SO NOT my personality. I work in a tiny cube, don't get any fresh air, and I don't even have any framed art on the cube walls!

I'm loud, outgoing, caring, observant, cheery, moody, and fun. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.

I think in another life I would have been a police officer with a Superwoman cape underneath.

One of my greatest joys in life is giving and receiving mail. I live in a TINY town and they don't deliver mail to my home directly, so my daily trip to the post office is always an adventure!

I'm a firm believer that the world as we know it will go to hell in a hand basket. So I really like learning about 'living off the land' and doing without all those luxuries that we don't think twice about everyday.

I love to craft but I don't really follow any specific genres. I just DO whatever I want. I sew, I paint, I glue, create custom pendants, jewelry, photoframes, and I love to make shadowboxes. I have an embroidery machine from WalMart that does great stuff too!

I've ALWAYS wanted to learn how to crochet but I don't know anyone that can teach me.

I collect nutcrackers. For awhile there I was collecting them ALL. But I've come to my senses and I just want to focus on my German Collection that I have from my visits there and when family lived there. The chinese made ones can be rehomed soon.

I also collect snowglobes from places I've been. Most of them are cheesy, but I'm mesmerized by them all.

I also am dabbling in tea. Not really a collector, but I love to taste new things! Chai is my fave.

I am also trying to beef up my jewelry collection with meaningful pendants and charms. It really says something good in my heart when I can see something I believe in around my neck.

I usually eat 'clean' which is primarily lean protein sources, veggies and healthy carbohydrates. One day a week I get to eat whatever I want. And I utilize that to the fullest extent! I work out 6 days a week and on the 7th day, I rest. ;) It's called Body-for-LIFE and it's a program that changed my life forever. I also just started taking classes called Commando Krav Maga. It's a total kick butt Isreali combat fighting style. Each class starts with a brutal workout. I love it.

I LOVE the following: Anything German Shepherd, German made ornaments, outdoorsy decor, survival gear, winter clothing, anything handcrafted in Germany, and handmade birdhouses that are more for collecting than hanging outside for birds to poop on.

I'm also a HUGE fan of weekends, Friday nights out on the town, sleeping in, and especially laying in bed all day when it rains. I LIVE for snow days, even as an adult!

I HATE the following: Starbuck's Coffee anything--I think it all tastes like Skunk. I think the best coffee I ever had was Sanka at a wedding once.

I have a terrible fear of clowns or anything doll-like with a painted face.

I loath spending top dollar for items that I'd rather find at a steal of a price at Goodwill instead.

I hate gifts of bath and body scents that I'll never wear.

I don't like Hello Kitty or anything similar. I don't scrapbook, but I use the same embellishments with my shadowboxes and other crafts. I don't understand the fascination with stamping.

I try to live by the principles of The Secret. Ask, Believe, and then Receive from the Universe.

And I do my best to please others more often than myself and do the most good for the world around me while I'm here.

I have a college degree in professional writer, yet I am not published nor do I sit for hours and analyze the greatest literature of our time. My job allows me to utilize my skills by wordsmithing technical information and boring legal jargon.

That said, I always save time every night to read. Favorite recent books include The Five People You Meet in Heaven, The Shack, The Traveler's Gift, The Twilight Saga, and I'm currently reading Thrive High and a couple random survival books. One I highly recommend is 98.6 Degrees to Keep Your Ass Alive!
