Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm 27 years old with an AAS in Early Childhood Education, a BSW, and an MSSW. I'm a pro-choice feminist and activist. I'm very passionate about feminism and bodily rights. I love to do swaps relating to feminism.
I am equal parts sweet and deadly. I usually can't decide between something pink & sparkly and something totally bizarre and morbid. I love turtles, cats, kawaii, and horror. I am an INFJ, HSP, and a Slytherpuff (Half Hullflepuff, half Syltherin). My HSP-ness is very evident in person.
I hate routine and love my freedom. I use art to ward of my demons and strengthen my self-esteem. In the past I had trouble with social anxiety disorder and panic attacks. I am doing much better with it now though thanks to great therapists and psychiatrists. Swap-bot is my go-to "self care" hobby that has helped me get better. I have a skewed and dark perspective of the world a lot of the time. I love to read and look through the window of another person's life. I will give you the benefit of the doubt, especially if you ask for it.
I have a weirdo 8 year old. She enjoys participating in swaps (see the bottom of my profile). I also have the most beautiful, wonderful black cat named Wednesday. She is a rescue from a shelter. I also recently rescued a kitten and named her Luna. My daughter has a tabby named Marshmallow.
I love to read, so if you want to discuss books or swap reading lists PM me!
My all-time favorite books are Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathon Safran Foer and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Honorable mentions would go to The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, It's Kind of a Funny Store by Ned Vizzini, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (anything by John Green is good), Harry Potter by JK Rowling, White Oleanderby Janet Finch, anything by David Sedaris...etc
My favorite genre is realistic fiction.
Parks and Recreation, Glee, The Office, New Girl, Fact or Faked, Destination Truth, Greek, Community, Raising Hope, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Weeds, United States of Tara, Girls, LOST, Workaholics, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Breaking Bad, 19 Kids and Counting, Bob's Burgers, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, Jane the Virgin, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Portlandia, Ghost Adventures
My favorites would be the Harry Potter series. Others I love are The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Patch Adams, Almost Famous, White Oleander, The 'Burbs, Saved!, Jury Duty, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, World's Greatest Dad, Sunshine Cleaning, Bridesmaids, Reign Over Me, Steel Magnolias, My Girl, The Dangerous Lives' of Altar Boys, Insidious, anything scary... I love movies.
I enjoy making ATCs, zines, pocket letters, and mail art. I enjoy paper crafts and trying new things related to art. I have been into Dylusions ink lately. I've also been trying out different ways to emulate galaxy print with alcohol inks. I like experimenting and making something abstract and adding graphics of some kind. I also enjoy graphic design type things. I make my own pinback buttons so I'd love to swap those too. Sometimes I will create them for my partner as an extra.
I also enjoy swapping cool items, like pagan items or kawaii.

I Do Not Want
*I do not want anything Christian themed except Holy Water, cross figurines, prayer beads, or Virgin Mary (I find these items comforting). I have no use for Evangelical items and I find it disrespectful, honestly. I was okay with it for awhile but I am not a christian. I respect others beliefs and I do not send them things that are pro-Atheist, Pro-science, Pro-agnostic, etc. I COULD but it's not my place. Sending someone openly non-religious "God Bless" and "Jesus loves you" items/words/etc. is a microagression. I know some lovely Christians who I enjoy being with but they respect my beliefs and I respect theirs. I don't want Bible items. No USA Patriotism/God Bless America. No conservative or republican themes. No Diddl. No Manga. No Anime. No anti-feminist. Not a fan of country or redneck themes. No peanuts or peanut butter. No paper scraps. I have enough!
*I'm open to items from all other religions, especially Wicca. I also enjoy hearing about your culture and customs no matter where you are from.
Nyan Nyan Nyanko
Anything with kawaii cats (especially black cats or lucky cat), food with faces, and fairy tale world, or kawaii characters with rosy pink cheeks. I also like pandas and chubby little characters. I basically like any kawaii that is not people or real objects (unless those real objects have cute faces drawn on). I also love fun Japanses candies, especially PUCCHO: HOPPECHAN MINI GUMMIES!!
I have a daughter, Lily, who is 8 years old. She's changing so much lately. She's quiet on the outside but once we get home she literally bounces off the walls (and on any piece of furniture).
