My name is Kirsten; I'm 24 years old and from New York. I'm a DIY fashion blogger at studs & pearls (http://studs-and-pearls.com) and am currently working on publishing my first DIY fashion book.

Me in a nutshell = DIY, photography, jewelry making, baking, art. I'm very much influenced by music; many of my friends are musicians and in bands, some of which are on indie record labels. I also go to shows as much as possible.

I'm fascinated by skulls and skeletons, but not the cutesy type. the kind that you see in an anatomy or anthropology class. anything having to do with animal skulls i will probably like as well, such as pendants, atc's, etc.

I also love anything with map/globe prints! i plan on starting a vintage globe collection very soon.

i love recycling, and making old things into new things.
