I am a 28 year old mother to three children- 2 boys ages 8 and 6 and a girl who is 2 years old. I work part-time for a non-profit organization who deals with abused children and teens and pairing these children up with a foster care family. I am currently working to get my degree in psychology/counseling.

In way of music my favorite bands are Pulp, The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, The Smiths, Morrissey, Radiohead, The Pixies, and I'm always open to listening to new stuff, though I hate country music. I really like receiving homemade cd's.

My favorite book ever is To Kill a Mockingbird. I love the feel of the book. I read it every summer. Close seconds are The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, Foxfire by Joyce Carol Oates, I know why the Caged Bird Sings, Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt, Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, and Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I enjoy lots of non-fiction as well. Anything to do with psychology, self-help, education, or home and family life.

I guess I like darker comedies. My favorite movies are I heart Huckabees, Amelie, The City of Lost Children, The Life Aquatic, and Amelie. Once in a while I enjoy a good drama. I really liked the movie Foxfire. I guess it's sorta cheezy, but it's from my era. :)

I like to craft though my real passion is for writing. I love to journal and write short stories. I also enjoy painting with oils and collaging. I love to do mosaics and I enjoy doing simple sewing projects. I love retro material or vintage fabrics. I like vivid colors like deep red and plum purple.
